Sal<strong>in</strong>e irrigations are well tolerated. Although m<strong>in</strong>or side effects<br />
are common, the beneficial effect of sal<strong>in</strong>e appears to outweigh<br />
these drawbacks for the majority of patients.<br />
The use of topical sal<strong>in</strong>e could be <strong>in</strong>cluded as a treatment adjunct<br />
for the symptoms of chronic rh<strong>in</strong>os<strong>in</strong>usitis.
