Breve Storia<br />
1979: fondata a Genova<br />
1980: SLAM crea la Mickey Bear,<br />
una giacca di materiale innovativo: termoisolante ed idrorepellente.<br />
1990: SLAM diventa fornitore ufficiale della federazione italiana vela,<br />
una partnership che continua fino ad oggi.<br />
1994: apre il primo negozio SLAM a Portovenere.<br />
1996: lancio della prima linea di scarpe.<br />
1999: inizia la produzione della collezione donna.<br />
2000: SLAM è la prima azienda italiana ad introdurre il Meryl nella nautica.<br />
Il Meryl è un materiale traspirante, protegge dai raggi UVA<br />
non si stira e asciuga 5 volte più veloce del cotone.<br />
SLAM ha oggi 40 negozi. 21 sono in Italia e 19 all’estero<br />
(Croazia, Spagna, Portogallo, Gran Bretagna e Polonia) in grandi centri commerciali<br />
o nelle più prestigiose località turistiche (Roma, Milano, Porto Cervo,<br />
Saint Tropez, Barcellona, Palma De Mallorca, Cowes, Santo Domingo).<br />
Attualmente <strong>Slam</strong> si affaccia verso nuovi mercati, è presente alle principali<br />
fiere mondiali della nautica (Genova, Parigi, Barcellona, Düsseldorf,<br />
Amsterdam, Amburgo, Dubai) ed agli eventi della moda<br />
mondiale in calendario (PITTI - Firenze).<br />

1979: Founded in Genoa<br />
1980: SLAM introduces the Mickey Bear, an innovative jacket made from a<br />
thermal and water–repellent fleece.<br />
1990: SLAM becomes the official supplier to the Italian Sailing Federation, a<br />
partnership which continues to this very day.<br />
1994: the first SLAM Shop opens in Portovenere.<br />
1996: launch of the first shoe collection<br />
1999: start of the ladies’ collection<br />
2000: SLAM is the first Italian company to introduce Meryl into sailing.<br />
Meryl is breathable, UVA resistant, wash & wear and dries<br />
5 times faster than cotton.<br />
There are 40 <strong>Slam</strong> Shops, at present 21 are in Italy and 19 outside the<br />
country (Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain and Poland), in large shopping<br />
centers or in the most prestigious tourist locations (Rome, Milan, Porto<br />
Cervo, Saint Tropez, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Cowes, Santo Domingo).<br />
Currently a new international expansion plan is underway with in-roads being<br />
made into new markets. SLAM SpA exhibits at the principal international boat<br />
shows (Genoa, Paris, Barcelona, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Dubai)<br />
and at the most prestigious events<br />
in the fashion calendar (PITTI - Florence).
