L’azienda FRATELLI BASSOLI nacque nel 1929 dall’ingegnosità e operosità dei fratelli Napoleone e Aldo Bassoli
che decisero di raccogliere presso le offi cine della zona le lime usate che, con procedimento chimico, venivano ripulite
dalle scorie e rese nuovamente atte all’uso.
Ma presto abbandonarono questo procedimento perché risultò di qualità molto inferiore all’aspettativa e decisero
di appoggiarsi ad una piccola offi cina nei pressi di Milano che, con procedimento meccanico, rifaceva totalmente
le lime usate raccolte e le rendeva come nuove.
Continuarono così fi no al 1950, anno in cui si presentò l’occasione di ritirare questa offi cina e fu così che a Napoleone
e Aldo si affi ancò un altro fratello, Dante, e tutti insieme con coraggio e sacrifi ci, coadiuvati anche dai familiari,
subentrarono al vecchio proprietario e ne continuarono l’attività.
Nel 1954 i fratelli Bassoli decisero di spostare l’attività ad Olgiate Molgora (Lecco), luogo di loro residenza e tutt’oggi
comune ove ha sede l’azienda.
La lavorazione venne sempre più perfezionata e ad un certo punto si decise di affi ancare all’attività di rifacimento
di lime usate, la produzione di lime nuove, ottenendo presto ottimi risultati: la qualità delle loro lime raggiunse in poco
tempo quella di aziende già aff ermate sul mercato.
Successivamente venne quindi completamente abbandonata la lavorazione delle lime usate.
Nel 1960 rimase alla direzione dell’azienda solo il terzo dei fratelli, Dante, visto che Napoleone era deceduto
improvvisamente ed Aldo si era nel frattempo ritirato dall’attività.
Nello stesso anno la Confederazione Generale Italiana dell’Artigianato conferì a Bassoli Dante la medaglia d’oro
ed il diploma di anzianità artigiana.
BASSOLI Bros was founded in 1929 from the ingenuity and industriousness of the brothers Aldo and Napoleone
Bassoli who decided to repair and to renew worn fi les through a chemical process to bring them back to their normal
use.
However this procedure was drooped soon because the quality was far below their expectations and they decided
to bring worn fi les to a small factory near Milan where, through a mechanical process, fi les were totally remade.
In 1950 they had the opportunity to buy this factory and thus Napoleone and Aldo were joined by another brother,
Dante, and all together with courage and eff orts, assisted also by their relatives, they replaced the old owner
and they continued his activity.
In 1954 the Bassoli brothers decided to move their factory to Olgiate Molgora (Lecco), place where they lived
and place where the factory is still established.
The working process was so much developed and improved that the production of new fi les was started with very
good results soon: their fi les quality reached shortly the one off ered by competitors companies already well-known
on the market.
As a consequence the worn fi les processing was completely abandoned.
In 1960 Dante – the third brother - remained alone to manage the company, since Napoleone had died suddenly
and in the meanwhile Aldo had retired from business.
During the same year the Confederazione Generale Italiana dell’Artigianato gave the gold medal
and the “Diploma” of working seniority to Dante Bassoli.
