Dear Sir,
NOMINATION(S) FOR IETE GOVERNING COUNCIL ELECTION 2013-16
1. As prescribed in Byelaw 41(b),as amended and reproduced at next page the list (as an addendum) of
Corporate Members, who are newly enrolled from January 2012 to December 2012 along with change of addresses of
existing members is sent herewith. Please also refer the Directory of Corporate Members January 2012 in conjunction
with the addendum, already available with Members and also at IETE website (www.iete-elan.ac.in) for Nominations of
Governing Council Election for the term 2013-16.The addendum lists the name of the members, centre and sub-centre
wise for your convenience.
2. We request you to nominate not more than seven eligible candidates to contest the election to the Governing
Council. In case the President for 2013-14 is elected out of the non-retiring members, the 8th vacancy will be treated
as a casual vacancy.
3. The Criteria for eligibility for nomination is as follows:-

The nominee should be a Fellow of the Institution continuously for the last five years as on
31 st Dec 2012.
The nominee as well as the nominator should not be in arrears of subscriptions.
Those members who are currently in the Governing Council, or have earlier served the Governing
Council for three tenures are not eligible for such nomination(s).
4. A proforma of the nomination(s) form is also attached. If additional copies are required, the form may be photocopied.
Bio-data as required in the nomination form must not exceed 100 words and should only be filled in the format
which forms part of the nomination form. The Returning Officer has been authorised by the Governing Council to edit
the bio-data if he considers it necessary. For election 2013-16, a hybrid system consisting of physical as well online
voting is being adopted.
5. You are requested to send the nomination(s) in writing together with the written consent of the nominee(s) to
accept the membership of the Governing Council, if elected, so as to reach the Returning Officer not later than the
last working day of March 2013 at the address given below: -
