Editor's Note
These Proceedings are the work of many hands. As the official Conference Editor, I am greatly
indebted to our copy-editors (including members of The Waves Group, and graduate students who
volunteered to help) who did a remarkable job to obtain the best possible result.
Considerable editing work and time was spent in order to ensure a decent degree of typographical
uniformity and quality. A large fraction of papers failing to comply with the the compact reference
style recommended in the instructions for Authors needed substantial re-typing of the reference
section. A few papers formatted using improper templates had to be completely re-typed.
Checking all bibliographical hyperlinks and inserting the missing ones (e very substantial fraction)
was also in order for good scholarly use of these Proceedings, and took substantial work and time.
The graphical layout of each paper was checked, and re-organized when needed. In a couple of
cases substantial rewording/rewriting was also mandatory to ensure an adequate English language
quality. Special thanks are due to our mother-tongue English proof Readers.
Future editions Editors are friendly warned about what is waiting for them. We eventually did it.
For the first time the RiNEm Proceedings hold an ISBN id-number, most papers are written in
English, and those (few) in Italian contain a summary in English. Almost every single reference
is hyperlinked. We are confident that such desirable features will persist in future editions
of the RiNEm Proceedings.
