COLLEZIONE AUTUNNO INVERNO ‘009 ‘010<br />
Per la sua terza stagione di vita, Stone Island<br />
Shadow, il progetto realizzato Errolson Hugh,<br />
mente creativa di Acronym® insieme a Michaela<br />
Sachenbacher, prosegue nella sua evoluzione lineare<br />
di direzione e di profondità.<br />
Nuovi sviluppi di materiali, di modelli e di standard<br />
grafici vanno ad aggiungersi alla concettualità<br />
originale del progetto, la griglia PARSEQ,<br />
dimostrando la sua validità e importanza, attraverso<br />
capi il cui valore intrinseco è il risultato diretto della<br />
loro elaborazione.<br />
Griglia di perfomance modulare, PARSEQ è la<br />
struttura sulla quale poggia concettualità di questo<br />
sistema. Il nome è un acronimo per le 5 categorie del<br />
sistema: PROOF, AUGMENT, RESIST, SKIN e EQUIP<br />
Stone Island Shadow propone in primo luogo<br />
un sistema basato sull’idea di abbigliamento come<br />
un interfaccia che consenta all’uomo di relazionarsi<br />
con l’ambiente.<br />
I principi funzionali del mondo militare e dello<br />
sportswear tecnico permettono ai capi singoli della<br />
collezione di ‘funzionare’ sia individualmente che<br />
in modo sinergico se abbinati ad altri elementi di<br />
collezione. La griglia funzione senza vincoli di<br />
mutamenti stagionali e/o estetici. Questo rende i<br />
capi Stone Island Shadow abbinabili e utilizzabili con<br />
tutti i capi di altre collezioni, indipendentemente da<br />
quando siano stati ideati, prodotti e acquistati.<br />
Ogni capo diventa un’estensione del sistema<br />
personale di chi li possiede.<br />
AUTUMN WINTER ‘009 ‘010 COLLECTION<br />
Stone Island Shadow, the project designed<br />
by the creative team Acronym®, Errolson Hugh<br />
and Michaela Sachenbacher , sees in the third<br />
season its linear progression in both depth<br />
and direction.<br />
Newly developed fabrics , styles and graphical<br />
standards continue the projects original mandate<br />
and demonstrate its ongoing relevance through<br />
styles whose intrinsic value is a direct result of<br />
their sophistication.<br />
Modular Performance Grid, PARSEQ is the<br />
organizational framework upon which the idea<br />
is built. The name is an acronym for the<br />
5 categories of the system:<br />
PROOF, AUGMENT, RESIST, SKIN and EQUIP.<br />
Stone Island Shadow is primarily a system based<br />
upon the idea of clothing as a man’s interface<br />
with his environment.<br />
Proven functional principals from both military and<br />
active sportswear allow the individual items in the<br />
collection to work both alone and, most effectively,<br />
synergistically together.<br />
The Grid is is independent of seasonal and<br />
aesthetic change. This means that there is<br />
functional continuity between all Shadow<br />
collections and items , regardless of when they<br />
were produced and/or purchased. Each item is<br />
an extension of its owner’s personal system.
