INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGYA conventional multi-hole probe is comprised ofa cylindrical body with five or seven holes at itstip. The holes are connected via internal tubes topressure measurement data acquisition systems. When the probe is inserted into the flow, thepressures measured at each port are interpretedby Aeroprobe’s proprietary “Aeroflow” pressureto-velocityreduction software to reportmagnitude and direction of the flow velocityvector with respect to the probe, as well as staticand total pressure. These conventional probes can be manufacturedin many custom sizes and geometries, with tipsizes as small as 1.6mm. Five-hole probes arecapable of measuring flows up to 60° incidenceangle from the probe axis; seven-hole probescan measure up to 70° incidence.Aeroprobe’s standard probes are all stainlesssteelconstruction, capable of withstandingtemperatures up to 500 °C (depending on flowconditions). Conventional five- and sevenholeprobes are available in straight, L-shapedand cobra geometries, with conical, faceted orhemispherical tips.1 INCHCAPABILITIESTip diameters as small as 1.6mmAverage Error of
