A fairy story for Lesy
Il progetto “Una favola per
Lesy” nasce per festeggiare i 50 anni
dell’azienda che ha realizzato nel
cuore di Firenze abitini da bambina
di estremo pregio sartoriale.
Una storia quella di Lesy ,tessuta
dalle sapienti mani della tradizione
sartoriale fiorentina che ha saputo
travalicare i confini nazionali per
esportare i propri prodotti in tutto il
mondo.
All’indomani dell’importante
traguardo ,i 50 anni di attività, Lesy
vuole coinvolgere le vere protagoniste
di questo successo: le bambine. E
come? Permettendo ad una di loro di
veder realizzato il proprio sogno di
abitino.
The project “A fairy story for
Lesy” has been created to celebrate
50 years of the life of this active firm
which has produced, in the heart of
Florence, little girls dresses of the
highest professional tailoring.
Lesy’s story has evolved, thanks to
the capable hands of the traditional
florentine tailors, enabling it’s high
quality product to be exported all over
the world.
As the important day of 50 years
activity approaches, Lesy wishes to
co-involve the stars of their success:
that is the children, the little girls.....
but how is that possible?
By allowing them to design the dress
of their dreams....
Una favola dovrà dar vita all’abito
della protagonista della storia scritta
da Filippo Lapi per l’azienda. Il
disegno vincitore permetterà alla
bambina che lo ha creato di:
- Vedere realizzato il proprio abito
disegnato.
- Diventare la bambina designer Lesy
50th Anniversary con pubblicazioni
nei social networks aziendali.
- Presenza dell’abito nel catalogo
Lesy con il nome della creatrice.
Ispirandosi al seguente racconto
qualsiasi bambina del mondo potrà
creare l’abito della principessa
Lesylla.

The winning design will then be
splendidly created by Lesy and given
as a prize to the winner. A fairy
story will bring to life the dress of the
heroine of the story written by Filippo
Lapi especially for Lesy. The winning
design will allow the little girl who
has created it to:
- See her designed dress actually
made up.
- Become the Lesy 50th Anniversary
girl designer published in children’s
magazines and networks.
- Become an important feature of the
Lesy catalogue.
All children, taking inspiration from
this Fairy Story are able to create the
dream dress of the Princess Lesylla.

T anto tempo fa nel Regno di Florencia ....
O nce upon a time, in the land of Florencia....

L a principessa Lesylla
viveva nel suo castello dagli azzurri
tetti e dalle finestre bianco latte. Era
una bambina esile dal volto dolce e la
pelle candida,
un lieve rossore le colorava le guance
e due occhi furbi azzurro cielo
scrutavano il mondo con fare
incuriosito.
The Princess Lesylla
lived in her castle which had pale blue
rooftops and white window panes.
Lesylla was a slim little girl with a
soft, pretty face
and a delicate complexion with
rosebud coloured cheekbones,
enhancing her two bright blue eyes
which surveyed the world with great
curiosity.

L unghi
boccoli biondi ordinati da un
luminoso diadema
Saltellavano ad ogni passo sulle sue
piccole spalle
Come zampette di un usignolo alla ricerca del
frutto più prelibato sul ramo di un ciliegio.
Il palazzo del re Florino e della regina
Florilla suoi genitori,
era costruito sul dolce declivio della collina di
San Miniato
Si stagliava candido e delicato sul paesaggio delle
colline circostanti.
H er long, fair, curly hair was held back by a
little diamond crown
and the curls danced on her shoulders every step
she took
likening her to a nightingale searching for the most
delicious fruit on a cherry
tree branch.
The Castle of King Fiorino and Queen Florilla,
Lesylla’s parents,
was positioned on the warm, sunny side of the San
Miniato hill sides.
The candid and delicate structure of the Palace
stood out before the harmonious, surrounding
green hills.

U na strada adornata di fiori
variopinti congiungeva il palazzo
alla città e la principessa Lesylla
amava percorrerlo tutte le mattine
alle prime luci dell’alba alla
ricerca dei boccioli più belli che poi
avrebbero adornato
la sua camera da letto rifasciati da
un morbido nastro di seta rosa.
A road, adorned by many
coloured flowers and bushes,
joined the castle to the city.
Princess Lesylla adored to follow
this road. Every morning when
dawn is breaking and the sun
lights it’s first rays, she searched
for the most beautiful flowers and
fresh rose-buds which she binded
with pink silk ribbon and took to
adorn her own bedroom.

A seconda del giorno della
settimana la piccola Lesylla indossava
un abito di un colore diverso:
Lunedi Lillà, Martedì Melanzana,
Mercoledi Mirto, Giovedì
Giallo,Venerdi Verde, Sabato Salvia,
Domenica Oro.
E veryday of the week, little Lesylla
chose a different colour for her dress:
Monday Lilac, Tuesday
Plum,Wednesday Cornflower
blue,Thursday Sun yellow, Friday
Grass green, Saturday Sage, Sunday
All gold.

Tutto era abbinato con estrema
cura perché era convinta che i fiori
vedendola così radiante e ben vestita
sarebbero stati felici di adornare la sua
stanza sentendosi quasi in un giardino.
A ll the colours were co-ordinated
with extreme care, as the little Princess
believed that the flowers would be so
happy to join her pretty dresses and
would feel at home in her bedroom as
decorative and colourful as a garden.

O gni primo sabato del mese
si teneva a Florencia il mercato
più bello dell’intera nazione e la
principessa scendeva a valle e si
fermava in uno splendido laghetto
dove nuotava felicemente con le carpe
dorate che lo popolavano.
T he first Saturday of every
month, there was the most
wonderful market ever, celebrated
in Florencia, and Princess Lesylla
loved to run down the hill to attend
it. Before reaching the city, she
would stop by a magical lake and
swim in the sweet presence of golden
scale fish.

I l primo sabato di Giugno i raggi caldi
del sole scaldavano poderosamente tutto il
reame e Lesylla decise di anticipare la sua
visita al laghetto.
Arrivata di buon ora adagiò il suo abito
color salvia alle radici di un grosso tiglio
che cresceva sulla sponda meridionale del
laghetto e si immerse nelle tiepide acque
dello stagno.
O n the first Saturday of June, the sun
had warmed the air and the first feelings
of summer wew about. Lesylla decided to
leave earlier for the market.
She stopped at her favourite lake and placed
her “ Sage green” dress under a large silver
birch tree which grew alongside.

L e carpe svegliate dalla
piccola bambina accorsero a
salutarla e giocarono con lei.
Il tempo scorse talmente veloce
che le risate della bambina
furono interrotte dai rintocchi
delle campane di mezzogiorno.
L esylla immersed herself into
the warm water and the fish,
surprised by her movements,
joined her in her happiness and
swam with so great joy, that the
time flew, before Lesylla heard
the bells ringing, telling her
midday had passed.

O ddio!!! Esclamò la bambina.
Devo correre a casa.
Nuotò a riva e arrivata alle pendici
dell’albero si accorse che il suo
bell’abitino non era più là.
O h my goodness!!!
It is so late that I must run home now”
She swam to the edge of the lake and
there, to her surprise, her dress was no
longer there.

Chiese aiuto alle carpe, agli usignoli e a tutti gli animali del boschetto,
tanto che le fate del laghetto furono mosse a compassione e decisero di
cucirle un abito bianco come la neve e oro come le scaglie delle carpe.
L ’abito era…………
She asked for help to the fish of the golden scales, to the birds and all
the animals in the woods, so desperate was her call for help, that the
fairies of the lake heard her and decided to sew her a dress.
A dress white as snow and as gold as the fish scales.
Her dress was.............

R iuscire a raccontare
la storia di un’azienda
artigianale non è mai stato
facile specialmente se si parla di
un’azienda fiorentina come Lesy.
I tempi corrono e Lesy
rappresenta uno dei fiori
all’occhiello della produzione
artigianale italiana. Ancora oggi
sarte abilissime confezionano
abitini per bambina dal sapore
fiabesco.
Nel cuore di Firenze in una
location vicina ai più bei
monumenti della città il palazzo
Lesy ospita i laboratori,lo studio
progettistico e amministrativo e
la show room.
Passeggiare nei corridoi ricchi
di preziosi tessuti colorati e
fiori variopinti dà l’impressione
di percorrere un giardino
primaverile.
“Non è stato facile” dice la
titolare Lisetta Cosi (per tutti
Grazia) “ma siamo riusciti a
portare le nostre creazioni in
tutto il mondo, facendo felici tanti
genitori ma anche tanti bimbi”.
A Giugno 2014 l’azienda
festeggerà i 50 anni di attività
arricchendo le vetrine dei più
bei negozi del mondo con una
collezione dedicata alla storia
dell’azienda:
Lesy 50th Anniversary.

of a craft has never been easy
especially when it comes to how a
Florence company Lesy.
The times are Lesy and is
one of the jewels of Italian
craftsmanship. Even today very
skilled seamstresses repackage
dresses for girls fairy-tale flavor.
In the heart of Florence in
a location close to the most
beautiful monuments of the
city Lesy the building housing
the laboratories, the study
progettistico and administrative
and showroom.
Walking in the halls full of
precious colored fabrics and
colorful flowers gives the
impression of a star along the
spring garden.
“It was not easy,” says the owner
Lisette So (for all Grace) “but we
were able to bring our creations
around the world, making many
