Giacobbe generò Giuseppe, lo sposo di Maria,<br />

dalla qua<strong>le</strong> è nato Gesù, chiamato Cristo.<br />

Così fu generato Gesù Cristo: sua madre Maria,<br />

essendo promessa sposa di Giuseppe, prima<br />

che andassero avivere insieme si trovò incinta<br />

<strong>per</strong> o<strong>per</strong>a dello Spirito Santo. Giuseppe suo sposo, poiché era<br />

uomo giusto e non vo<strong>le</strong>va accusarla pubblicamente, pensò di<br />
