WELCOME!
Dear Visitors and Exhibitors,
It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you to the hundred
seventeenth edition of MIPEL, the number one event in the world dedicated
to bags and fashion accessories.
Last September we broke up with an edition that recorded excellent
results in terms of attendance and that spoke above all of sustainability.
We want to replicate and reiterate MIPEL’s commitment to promoting
and supporting a battle that if lost will see the entire human race defeated.
And then an important event like ours cannot fail to focus on this theme
by dedicating the settings, moments of entertainment, confrontation
and information such as workshops and talks; showing attention also to
small things such as the use of recycled and recyclable carpet. We are
committed to trying to reduce the impact that the fair can have on the
environment, we do it in small steps but at each edition we add a piece
with the aim of raising awareness on the subject too.
I therefore invite you to discover the innovations in this edition starting
from the renewed layout of the pavilion which houses our main sector
SCENARIO in the central area together with the TREND AREA and, as in
a natural continuation, an entertainment area designed as a garden and
composed of over 1,500 plants. Here we invite you to follow the interesting
talks scheduled and to attend the performances of artists that we are
sure will strike you. In addition, you are all invited to this area on Monday 17
February starting at 6 pm, where will take place an exceptional cocktail
party animated by the music of the enthralling “Ben Dj”, Deejay and Producer
contended in VIP parties around the world.
On that occasion I will have the honor of personally presenting you
interesting news that we are already working on for the next edition of
MIPEL118 (20-23 September 2020)!
