Cecilia McDowall - Seventy degrees below zero

For Solo tenor & orchestra To commemorate the centenary of the British Antarctic Expedition in 2012, Cecilia McDowall has set extracts of Scott's letters and some original texts to create a 15 minute piece for voice and orchestra. The work was premiered by the City of London Sinfonia and programmed alongside Vaughan Williams' Symphony No 7 (Antarctica).
