In his film score to Richard III Walton wrote a sleigh ride to accompany a winter journey. The music abounds with snow flurries, a joyously optimistic main theme, and an icy shiver (violin harmonics) towards the close. Edward Watson has taken music of a similar content from earlier in the film score in order to make the piece a performable length.
