JON WHITTLE “It’s a gorgeous morning in the Galápagos; the sun is shining, the sea is blue and there’s a baby sea lion sleeping on my foot,” writes the Florida-based photographer who shot the isolated isles for Natural Selectivity (p76). “The Galápagos may be one of the most tightly controlled regions in the world for human-nature interaction, but it seems nobody forwarded the memo to the animals.” Always on the go, Whittle has recently shot for Islands and Esquire.
