1.10 Inappropriate Use REGO-FIX AG does not accept any liability for damages caused by inappropriate use of the device and hand pump. Inappropriate use includes, but is not limited to: // Using non-powRgrip ® tooling systems or tools not meeting the required quality grades or types // The connection and operating of other applications // The connection and operating of different power tools // /All intentions of using the powRgrip ® device and pump on living things // Clamping and unclamping without clamping inserts // Clamping and unclamping powRgrip ® toolholder including powRgrip ® collet without cutting tool // The use of any products other than REGO-FIX, respectively powRgrip ® toolholders and/or collets 1.11 Danger and Information Symbols All information concerning safety is highlighted by warning symbols "WARNING", "CAUTION" to point out possible personal injury, or with "NOTE" symbols to point out possible mechanical damage. WARNING Warning symbol: contains information about a dangerous situation which may lead to death or serious personal injuries if not avoided. CAUTION NOTE Caution symbol: contains information about a situation which may lead to personal injuries if not avoided. This recommendation symbol points at important notes for appropriate handling of the system. If these recommendations are not followed, damage of the system or its environment may be caused. 1.12 Danger by Hydraulic Energy // Only specially trained personnel with a good knowledge of and experience in hydraulics may be working on the hydraulic equipment // The unit works with a pressure of 320 bar. Parts of the unit such as hand pump, pressure hoses, valves and device have to be depressurized before the start of any repairs. It is not safe to have any pressure left in the device WARNING Attention: This component is under pressure of max. 352 +40/-10 bar. / / Hydraulic flexible tubes should be replaced regularly, even if they show no obvious defects (see chapter 12.4) 64 Operating manual PGC 2506
1.13 Maintenance, Repair, Fault Elimination // The mandatory adjustment, maintenance and inspection work should be performed at the specified intervals // Operating personnel must be informed before starting maintenance and repair work. // Check all released screw- and fitting connections for firm seating // Check safety devices for proper functioning after completing maintenance work 1.14 Warranty and Liability In principle, warranty and liability is based on our already signed written agreement. We do not accept any warranty or any liability for damages caused to either persons or machinery which can be attributed to one or several of the following causes: // Inappropriate use of the device and hand pump // Inappropriate repairs on the unit, done by non-instructed personnel // Inappropriate transport, storage, assembly, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the unit // Operating of the unit in spite of broken safety equipment or insufficiently mounted or not functional safety and protective equipment // /No attention to recommendations stated in the operating instructions concerning safety, transport, storage, assembly, commissioning, maintenance and setup of the unit // Modification of the unit without permission // Change of the pressure ratio of the hydraulic pressure block without permission // Lack of monitoring of the unit parts, which may be subject to wear // Inappropriate repairs // Catastrophic cases due to foreign bodies or cases beyond our control 2. Overview of the Unit 2.1 Use The unit is to be used exclusively to clamp and unclamp tools of high precision-power chucks of the following trademark: // powRgrip ® of REGO-FIX AG The device works with a pressure of 352 bar / 5105 PSI. Use this unit only for powRgrip ® Tool Holding Systems which have been released by one of the following companies: WARNING REGO-FIX AG – Switzerland For every other application of this unit there is a danger of serious personal injury as well as mechanical damage.
