Maintenance and Service The indicated maintenance intervals refer to a single-shift operation. The maintenance intervals are shortened when the unit is used at higher levels, i.e. by multiple-shift operation. NOTE It is not mentioned in this section how to reassemble the unit after any kind of failure of fault. These repairs should only be done by specially instructed and trained personnel or by our sales service. 12.1 Maintenance Plan The indicated maintenance intervals refer to a single-shift operation. The maintenance intervals are shortened when the unit is used at higher levels, i.e. by multiple-shift operation. Additional influences such as dirty work surroundings have to be considered. No pressure is allowed in the hydraulic unit, i.e. the pressure gauge must indicate 0 bar / 0 PSI. 12.2 Service Instruction for powRgrip ® Device and Pump WARNING Before doing any service work hydraulic pressure should be completely released of the unit. No pressure is allowed in the hydraulic unit, i.e. the pressure gauge must indicate 0 bar / 0 PSI. 12.3 General Maintenance may only be carried out by qualified technicians or appropriately trained persons (responsible maintenance mechanic). Pay attention to cleanness! Particles of dirt must not get into the tool or into the device. For mounting the seals do not use assembling tools with sharp edges. Original spare parts and the use of the original powRgrip ® APC clamping inserts must be used. Check the oil level! NOTE The minimum oil level must be at least to the middle of the oil tank. The oil should be directly at the lower edge of the thread when the pump is levelled and the cylinder is retracted. Operating manual PGC 2506 81
