SPECIAL FEATURE: SPIRITS

SPECIAL FEATURE: SPIRITS & FORTIFIED WINES Advertorial Roman Gazine Co-founder & CEO, Taiga Shtof Old Traditions, New Vodka: Introducing Taiga Shtof When White Turns to Amber… For more than 700 years, in the heart of the south-west, in Gascony more precisely, the winegrowers have distilled white wine to give birth to one of the most beautiful French eaux-de-vies: Armagnac. Fiery and racy, this precious liquid gathers sagacity and fullness thanks to many years of ageing in the quiet of the cellars. For Lionel Osmin & Cie, a young and dynamic house created in Pau in 2010, whose ambition is to reveal the richness of the grapes and terroirs of the Southwest, Armagnac represents the “added soul” of this unique French wine region. Five Armagnacs, from 12 to 39 years of age, bear the signature Lionel Osmin: a selection based on emotion and pleasure, which have given birth to strictly limited production, with Armagnacs in the purest possible style, hardly reduced, if at all, leaving the accelerators of ageing to enhance the intrinsic character and expression of these very genuine eauxde-vies. The youngest should be tasted at a temperature of 14-15 ° C, with a chocolate or dried fruit dessert, the oldest to accompany the aroma of a “Puro” cigar, at room temperature, in a large crystal glass so that their multiple aromas flourish. One of the “stars of the show”: 1996, 16 years old, 42% draw N°1, June 2013: 463 bottles. Beautiful deep colour, sustained amber… a moment of tasting as rare as the number of bottles! Hall 1, Stand E324 Roman Gazine, co-founder and CEO, Taiga Shtof is at Vinexpo for the official launch of his new product. We asked him to tell us more about its background… Taiga Shtof is born out of an appetite to create a super-premium, smaller batch vodka with an intriguing brand story and impactful packaging; the epitome of quality, handcrafted from Russia under the purest tradition and originating from the icy Taiga region in Siberia. It sources the best ingredients from the hardest to reach region, whilst also taking cues from the lost art of traditional vodka making – straight, gastronomical, shared with friends. Why choose Vinexpo for the product launch? Vinexpo is the largest trade show and a must attend event for the wine and spirit business, bringing together thousands of international industry experts with a remarkable media coverage. Having ambitions for international recognition, we postponed our product launching on main markets until Vinexpo, because we could not miss such a great opportunity to present our vodka to the profession. How does this fit in with your presence at The Blend? We are extremely proud that Taiga Shtof will be the exclusive vodka of this high-class party by Vinexpo, and we hope the Taiga Shtof bar will be a popular spot. Please tell us about your “original” stand idea. It was conceived as a 360-degree showroom, where one can be fully immersed in the universe of our brand. Hence, we merged together a traditional Siberian yurt architecture with modern sophistication and impactful visuals. Hall 3, Stand R336 8 VINEXPO DAILY / DAY 2 EDITION / MONDAY 19 TH JUNE 2017

The statutory multi-faceted glass bottle is now adorned with new packaging elements in a clear colour code. The positioning between the Gold Heritage, the 12 Years Old and the 18 Years Old is therefore more clearly expressed. “The range consistency was key in this redesign” explains Nadege Perrot, international senior brand manager for Label 5. The official unveiling at Vinexpo has been highlighted with a dedicated showcase for all three references. A special event is also taking place on the La Martiniquaise stand at 3:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday, when Master Blender Graham Coull will be presenting the Gold Heritage. The bottles are available in 75cl worldwide from June 2017 and in 70cl from first half of year 2018. Label 5 is enjoyed in more than 100 countries and is renowned for its high quality and appreciated for its smoothness. Hall 1, Stand BD296 VINEXPO DAILY / DAY 2 EDITION / MONDAY 19 TH JUNE 2017 9
