The Burial of very young Children. 1825
THE BURIAL OF VERY YOUNG CHILDREN.
The Priest, in surplice and white stole, goes to the house of the deceased
child, preceded by two acolytes, the one bearing the processional cross
without its staff, the other carrying the holy water.
The Priest sprinkles the corpse with holy water and intones :
