The timesaved in inputting a latent into the AFIS (Automated Palm print and FingerprintIdentification System) reinforces the trend towards paperless work environment,reduces operating costs, and also improves the quality of the data used by thesystem, and thus its overall efficiency.A versatile expert toolThe LAW provides your forensic technicians with imageenhancement tools and minutiae editing capabilities. It is anextremely versatile system, in terms of how the image data entryis achieved. The high resolution digital camera can also takepictures of chemically developed latents (e.g. using ninhydrineand fluorescence examination) either on a flat surface or directlyon a 3D piece of evidence collected from a crime scene.
