1 REGELS
1.1 De wedstrijdserie is onderworpen aan de Regels zoals gedefinieerd in de Regels voor Wedstrijdzeilen
(2013-2016).
1.2 De voorschriften van het Watersportverbond zijn van toepassing
1.3 In geval van strijdigheid tussen talen zal de Engelse tekst voorrang hebben.
1.4 Voor de eenheidsklassen gelden de regels, die zijn opgenomen in de bepalingen van de betreffende
klasse.
1.5 Voor ORC Club-gemeten jachten geldt de handicap volgens ORC Club, rekenmethode Triple
Numbers.
Voor de Shorthanded klasse geldt de handicap volgens ORC Club, rekenmethode Triple Numbers
Voor de Ongemeten klasse en Quart Ton klasse geldt de handicap vastgesteld door de organisatie
volgens SW.

De bij het Watersportverbond op 17 juni 2013 bekende meetbrieven zijn bepalend voor de te hanteren
handicap.
De wedstrijden in de ORC klassen tellen voor de ORC Club Competitie 2013 en indien van toepassing
voor de Westdeutschen ORC-Club CUP. In de Shorthanded klasse tellen de wedstrijden voor de
Shorthanded Competitie 2013.
2 RECLAME
Er mag van boten vereist worden dat ze reclame voeren die verstrekt wordt door de organisatie.
3 DEELNAMERECHT EN INSCHRIJVING
3.1 De wedstrijd is uitgeschreven voor de volgende klassen:
ORC Club 1 t/m 4, Ongemeten Klasse, Quart Ton, FF 65 en Shorthanded jachten.
3.2 Deelnamegerechtigde boten kunnen inschrijven door het inschrijfformulier op www.lenco.eu/regatta
in te vullen of ingevuld op te sturen en het vereiste inschrijfgeld over te maken naar rekening
348186460 ( IBAN: NL67RABO0348186460, BIC: RABONL2U ) van Watersport Vereniging
Lelystad, onder vermelding: ‘Lenco Regatta’, klasse en zeilnummer. Bovendien moet iedere
verantwoordelijke persoon met de Nederlandse Nationaliteit in het bezit zijn van een door het
Watersportverbond uitgegeven startlicentie, welke bij registratie getoond moet kunnen worden. Dit
laatste geldt niet voor de ongemeten klasse.
3.3 Inschrijvingen die niet op 17 juni 2013 zijn ontvangen, of waarvan op die datum de gegevens van de
handicap niet bekend zijn, kunnen worden geweigerd.
3.4 Bij annulering van de inschrijving ná 17 juni 2013 wordt géén inschrijfgeld geretourneerd.
3.5 Bij minder dan 10 inschrijvingen in een klasse kan deze worden samengevoegd met een andere klasse.

4. INSCHRIJFGELD

De vereiste inschrijfgelden, inclusief havengeld en een vrije ligplaats gedurende
een dag voor en een dag na de wedstrijd in de Flevo Marina zijn als volgt:
Voor de ORC 1 en ORC 2 € 60,- voor alle andere klassen € 50,- en voor het diner
op zaterdag € 12,50 per bemanningslid.
6. PROGRAMMA VAN DE WEDSTRIJDEN
6.1 Registratie voor alle klassen vrijdag 21 juni van 18:00 uur tot 21:00 uur of zaterdag 22 juni van 8:00
uur tot 10:00 uur in het wedstrijdsecretariaat van de Flevo Marina.
6.2 Zaterdag 22 juni Langebaan wedstrijd voor de Shorthanded klasse,
3 kortebaan wedstrijden voor alle overige klassen.
Zondag 23 juni Lange baan wedstrijd voor alle klassen.
6.3 Het waarschuwingssein voor de eerste start zal niet vóór 10:00 uur gegeven worden.
7. METING
7.1 Voor iedere boot moet een geldige meetbrief en startlicentie getoond worden, behalve de ongemeten
klasse.
7.2 Voor en na de wedstrijden, te beginnen op vrijdag, kunnen controles worden uitgevoerd op de vereiste
veiligheidsuitrusting en de klassenvoorschriften.
8. WEDSTRIJDBEPALINGEN
De wedstrijdbepalingen zijn vanaf uiterlijk 17 juni 2013 beschikbaar via www.lenco.eu/regatta.
Deelnemers kunnen deze vanaf vrijdag 21 juni 18.00 uur op het wedstrijdsecretariaat afhalen.
9. LOCATIE
10. BANEN
De wedstrijden zullen gezeild worden op het IJsselmeer met vertrek vanuit de Flevo Marina te
Lelystad.
10.1 De langebaan wedstrijden zullen gebruik maken van bestaande betonning en van speciaal gelegde
merktekens.
10.2 De te zeilen banen voor de kortebaan wedstrijden zijn zgn. op-en-neer banen.
11. STRAF SYSTEEM
11.1 Regel 44.1 en 44.2 zijn gewijzigd zodat maar één ronde, inclusief één maal overstag gaan en één gijp
vereist is.
12. SCOREN
12.1 Drie wedstrijden moeten zijn voltooid om de serie geldig te maken.
12.2 De resultaten van de langebaan wedstrijden tellen voor 150% in de totaal uitslagen.

14. LIGPLAATSEN
Boten moeten op de hun toegewezen ligplaatsen in de haven liggen.
15. BEPERKINGEN OP UIT HET WATER HALEN
Kielboten mogen niet uit het water gehaald worden gedurende de wedstrijdserie behalve met en
onderworpen aan de voorwaarden van de vooraf gegeven schriftelijke toestemming van het
wedstijdcomite.
16. VEILIGHEID

De Lenco Regatta valt onder de ISAF Offshore Special Regulations Category 4.
17 RADIOCOMMUNICATIE
Marifoonprotocol van de Noordzee club wordt toegepast (zie www.noordzeeclub.nl)
Marifoonkanaal 72 kan worden gebruikt voor communicatie tussen wedstrijdleiding en deelnemende
boten. Voor de shorthanded boten is dit marifoonkanaal 13. De communicatie wordt beperkt tot
datgene dat voor de wedstrijd of voor de veiligheid noodzakelijk is.

19. PRIJZEN
Voor de klassen of groepen van klassen zijn wisselprijzen, totaalprijzen en dagprijzen beschikbaar.
20. AFWIJZING VAN AANSPRAKELIJKHEID
Deelnemers nemen geheel voor eigen risico deel aan de wedstrijdserie. Zie regel 4, Besluit om
wedstrijd te zeilen. De organiserende autoriteit accepteert geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor
materiële schade of persoonlijk letsel of dood veroorzaakt in samenhang met of voor, gedurende of na
de wedstrijdserie.
21. VERZEKERING
Elke deelnemende boot moet verzekerd zijn voor wettelijke aansprakelijkheid met een minimum
bedrag van Euro 1.000.000 per evenement of het equivalent daarvan.

1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (2013-2016).
1.2 The prescriptions of the Watersportverbond ( Dutch association of sailing ).
1.3 In case of a difference between the text in English and Dutch, the English text will prevail.
1.4 For One design classes the rules according to the Classes regulations will apply.
1.5 For ORC measured yachts the handicap used is according to ORC Club, method Triple Numbers.
For the unclassified fleet the racing committee will use the SW handicap.

The handicaps of the rating certificates, known at the Watersportverbond at June, 17, 2013, will
be used.
The races in the ORC classes will count for the ORC Club Competition 2013 and if appropriate,
for the Westdeutschen ORC Club Cup. In the Shorthanded class the races will count for the
Shorthanded Competition 2013.
2 ADVERTISING.
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing committee.
3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY.
3.1 This regatta is open to yachts of the following classes:
ORC Club 1, 2, 3, 4, unclassified fleet, Quarter Ton class, FF 65 and Shorthanded class.
3.2 Eligible yachts may enter by completing the form on www.lenco.eu/regatta and sending it
together with the required fee to 348186460 ( IBAN : NL67RABO0348186460, BIC :
RABONL2U ) Watersport Vereniging Lelystad, with class, sailing number and Lenco Regatta.
3.3 Entries not received on June 17, 2013 or those with unknown handicaps on the same date, can be
refused.
3.4 By cancelling the entry after June 17, 2013, no entry fee will be returned.
3.5 When there are less than 10 entries in one class, this class can be combined with another class.
4. ENTRY FEE.

The required entry fee includes the harbour fee and a free berth during one day
before and one day after the regatta in the Flevo Marina.
This fee is for ORC 1 and ORC 2 class € 60,- , for all other classes € 50,- . The fee
for the dinner on Saturday evening € 12,50 for each crew member.
6. PROGRAM OF THE RACES

6.1 Registration for all classes Friday June 21 from 18:00h till 21:00h or Saturday, June 22, from 8:00h till
10:00h in the Regatta Office at the Flevo Marina.
6.2 Saturday June 22 Long distance race for the Shorthanded class.
Three short courses for all other classes.
Sunday June 23 Long distance race for all classes.
6.3 The preparation signal for the first start will not be earlier than 10.00h.
7. Measurement.
7.1 For each yacht a valid measurement certificate and starting licence must be shown except for the
unclassified fleet.
7.2 Before and after the races starting on Friday, inspections on the required safety equipment and
class associations can be executed.
8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions should be on the www.lenco.eu/regatta site. Participants can collect them
on Friday, June 21, from 18.00h at the Regatta Office.
9. LOCATION
The races will be sailed on the IJsselmeer departing from Flevo Marina in Lelystad.
10. THE COURSES
10.1 The long distance courses will use the existing marks and specially placed marks.
10.2 The courses for the short races will be up-down courses.
11. PENALTY SYSTEM
11.1 Rule 44.1 and 44.2 are changed so that the two turns penalty is replaced by the one turn penalty.
12. SCORING
12.1 Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
12.2 The results of the long distance course will count for 150 % in the total result.

Yachts shall be kept in their assigned places in the harbour.
15. HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS
Keel boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta except with and according to the terms of
prior written permission of the race committee.
16. SAFETY

The Lenco Regatta is an ISAF Offshore Special Regulations Category 4 event.
17 RADIOCOMMUNICATION
VHF Protocol of the Noordzee club will be used (see www.noordzeeclub.nl)
VHF channel 72 can be used for communication between the race committee and the yachts. For
the Shorthanded class this will be VHF channel 13. Communication is restricted to all what is
necessary for the race or safety.

For the classes or groups of classes there will be perpetual prizes, total prizes and day prizes.
20. DISCLAIMS OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The
organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death
in conjunction with, or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
21. INSURANCE
Each participating yacht shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a
minimum cover of Euro 1.000.000 per event or the equivalent.
