Dear Sir,
On Remembrance Sunday, the 14th of November 2010, there will be a wreathlaying and
remembrance ceremony at the British warcemetry at Swartbroek near Weert.
The Weert Branch of the Bond van Wapenbroeders, organising this annual ceremony,
kindly requests the presence of the Branch officers and members of the Eindhoven
Branch of the Royal British Legion at this ceremony.
We, herewith, invite one of your officers, perhaps your President or your Chairman to
be so kind to say the Exhortation at the appropriate moment during the ceremony.
It would also be greatly appreciated to have your Branch standard present at the
cemetry.
Wreathlaying being part of the ceremony, opportunity will, of course, be given to lay a
wreath on behalf of the Royal British Legion.
Members of the Contact Oud Mariniers and members of the Wapenbroeders will form a
guard of honour at the cemetry. Members of the Royal British Legion are very welcome
to join this guard.
Dress preferably: legionblazer and medals.
We will assemble between 14.30 and 14.45 hrs. In front of the Local Parish church, the
ceremony commences at 15.00 hrs.
After the ceremony there will be, at the nearby Riflemen’s clubhouse, the usual gettogether.
Should the weather be very bad, the ceremony will be held in the Parish church.
We look forward to meeting many of your members at Swartbroek.
