Algemeen kindercentrum nieuws<br />
Beste ouders/verzorgers,<br />
De lente staat weer voor de deur en we hebben nog niet veel mooie dagen<br />
gehad, maar hopelijk komen die snel!<br />
Ons beleid is dat we alle dagen buiten spelen, daarbij kunnen kinderen dan<br />
wel eens vies worden, geef ze dus gepaste kleding aan die vies mogen<br />
worden. Denkt u ook aan reservekleding passend bij het seizoen.<br />
Meivakantie<br />
Van maandag 29 april tot en met vrijdag 10 mei is het meivakantie. Indien<br />
uw kind(eren) niet komt in deze weken zou u dit dan door willen geven aan<br />
de pedagogisch medewerkers?<br />
Sluitingsdagen in deze weken:<br />
Dinsdag 30 april i.v.m. Koninginnedag<br />
Donderdag 9 mei i.v.m. Hemelvaartsdag<br />
Warme maaltijden<br />
Momenteel zijn we de mogelijkheden aan het inventariseren voor het<br />
aanbieden van een warme maaltijd i.p.v. een broodmaaltijd. Zodra hierover<br />
meer duidelijk is zal ik u hierover informeren.<br />
Personeel<br />
In verband met de reorganisatie hebben we inmiddels ook afscheid genomen van Kitty, zij heeft een<br />
baan gevonden bij een kinderopvangorganisatie in Breda. We wensen haar veel geluk toe met haar<br />
nieuwe baan en met haar gezin!<br />
Wie haar diensten over gaat nemen is nog onduidelijk, zodra hierover meer bekend is zal ik dit<br />
communiceren. Voorlopig zal Lonneke de meeste diensten overnemen.<br />
In de week van 22 april komt Gina een maatschappelijke stage doen bij ons. Een maatschappelijke<br />
stage is vrijwilligerswerk en is bedoeld om scholieren tijdens hun schooltijd een bijdrage te laten<br />
leveren aan de samenleving.<br />

General Day Care news<br />
Dear parents/guardians,<br />
Spring is in the air, but we have not had the joy to experience it yet. We hope Spring will arrive soon!<br />
It is our policy that the children will play outside every day, they may get dirty, so please provide<br />
appropriate clothing. Please remember to include an extra set of clothes that is appropriate for current<br />
weather conditions.<br />
May Vacation<br />
May Vacation is from Monday April 29th through May 10th. Please inform the Staff Members if your<br />
child(ren) will not be attending during those weeks.<br />
Unikids will be closed on Tuesday April 30 for Queen’s Day en Thursday May 9 th for Ascension Day<br />
Hot meals<br />
We are currently researching the option to offer a hot meal instead a sandwich lunch to te children.<br />
We will report on our findings as soon as possible.<br />
Staff<br />
Due to our reorganization, we have said farewell to Kitty. Kitty has found a new position at a day care<br />
organization in Breda. We wish her all the best with her new job and with her family!<br />
I will inform you as soon as possible who will be taking Kitty’s position. For the time being, Lonneke<br />
will take most of Kitty’s tasks.<br />
Starting April 22, Gina will be doing a week long community internship with us.<br />
A community internship is a volunteer position intended to give students the opportunity to donate their<br />
time as a charitable contribution.<br />

Flexibele opvang<br />
Heeft u of uw partner flexibele werkdagen?<br />
Dan is onze flexibele opvang misschien iets voor u.<br />
Wij bieden de volgende 2 soorten flexibele opvang aan.<br />
- periodiek 2-, 3- of 4-wekelijks met de gemiddelde afname per week van 1 dagdeel BSO of<br />
2 dagdelen KDV<br />
- volgens rooster, waarbij 4 weken vooruit het rooster door de ouder aan de locatie wordt<br />
doorgegeven (gemiddelde afname per week van 1 dagdeel BSO of 2 dagdelen KDV)<br />

Een aanvraag voor flexibele opvang wordt individueel beoordeeld of dit mogelijk is en voor de duur<br />
van een jaar contractueel vastgelegd. Na dat jaar wordt gekeken of dit verlengd kan worden of dat het<br />
wordt omgezet in reguliere opvang.<br />
Wilt u meer weten over de flexibele opvang?<br />
Wij vernemen graag uw vragen of wensen zodat we de mogelijkheden voor flexibele opvang bij uw<br />
kindercentrum met u kunnen bespreken.<br />

Reorganisatie<br />
Enkele weken geleden, 19 februari 2013, hebben wij u geïnformeerd over de ontwikkelingen rond de<br />
reorganisatie. De vermindering van het aantal personeelsleden is noodzakelijk omdat de vraag naar<br />
kinderopvang flink is afgenomen.<br />
Ten tijde van het verschijnen van deze nieuwsbrief hebben wij nog geen bericht van het UWV<br />
ontvangen. Wij kunnen u dan ook nog niet melden op welke wijze de roosters er in de nieuwe situatie<br />
uit zullen gaan zien. Zodra wij uitsluitsel krijgen van het UWV gaan de locatiehoofden de nieuwe<br />
roosters indelen. Deze informatie ontvangt u dan voor uw eigen locatie. Wij hopen u snel duidelijkheid<br />
te kunnen geven.<br />
Mocht u nog vragen hebben dan kunt u terecht bij uw locatiehoofd.<br />

Flexibele Care<br />
Do you or your partner have a flexible work schedule?<br />
Flexibele care may be the solution for you.<br />
We offer 2 flexibele care options:<br />
1. Periodical commitment for every 2, 3 or 4 weeks, with an average attendance of 1 (part) day<br />
of after school care for 2 (part) days of child care.<br />
OR<br />
2. Pre-scheduled commitment, the client submits the attendance schedule to the Staff Member 4<br />
weeks prior, with an average attendance of 1 (part) day after school care or 2 (part) days of<br />
child care.<br />
A request for flexible care will be individually reviewed. If approved, flexible care will be an one year<br />
commitment. After that year, a review will take place to extend flexible care or to change to regular<br />
care.<br />
Would you like more information about flexible care? We would like to hear your specific questions or<br />
requests, in order for us to review the options for flexible care with the Day Care Center.<br />

Reorganization<br />
We informed you on February 19, 2013 of the recent developments regarding the <strong>Surplus</strong><br />
reorganization. A reduction in the number of Staff Members due to the substantial decline in child care<br />
attendance is needed.<br />
At the time of publication of this newsletter, no further information from the UWV has been received.<br />
Therefore we cannot inform you how the schedules will change. As soon as we receive the<br />
information from the UWV, the Location Managers will create new schedules. You will receive this<br />
information from you local Day Care Center. We hope to be able to share this information as soon as<br />
possible.<br />

25-JARIG BESTAAN<br />
Vooraankondiging van de Jubileum workshop-avond in april:<br />
Houd u woensdagavond 24 april a.s. vrij in uw agenda voor onze april Jubileum-activiteit: keuze uit<br />
workshops voor ouders en een heuse kinderkunst-veiling, misschien is uw kind wel genomineerd !<br />
Het programma én inschrijfformulier hiervoor volgt nog !<br />
De opbrengst van de veiling (en overige inzamelingsacties, hierover later meer) gaat naar een door<br />
<strong>Surplus</strong> <strong>Kinderopvang</strong> bepaald goed doel: Stichting Jarige Job (http://www.jarige-job.nl) "Niet iedere<br />
verjaardag is een feestje, want wist u dat in Nederland 60.000 kinderen hun verjaardag niet kunnen<br />
vieren ?"<br />
Vooraankondiging voor Jubileum natuur-activiteit in mei:<br />
Houd u Pinsterzondag 19 mei a.s. vrij in uw agenda voor onze mei Jubileum-activiteit: <strong>Surplus</strong><br />
<strong>Kinderopvang</strong> organiseert in samenwerking met Brabantslandschap een leuke wandeling voor<br />
ouders en kinderen. Ook zullen er een paar kleine activiteiten zijn. De uitnodiging hiervoor volgt nog.<br />
25 th Anniversary<br />

Please join us on April 24 th for our April Anniversary Activity: A workshop for parents and a real<br />
“children’s art auction”, your child may be nominated!<br />
The program for the evening and the application for will follow soon!<br />
The proceeds of the auction (and other fundraisers, more information on these will follow) will go to a<br />
charity choosen bij <strong>Surplus</strong> Child Care: Stichting Jarige Job (The Birthday Boy Foundation)<br />

Kinderdagverblijf activiteiten<br />
De afgelopen maand zijn we druk bezig geweest met de thema’s winter, carnaval en het lichaam. We<br />
hebben tijdens de koude winterdagen veel geknutseld zoals vogelhuisjes, pignuins, het lichaam van<br />
Puk en nog veel meer! Met carnaval hebben we gezellig gehost en zijn we allemaal mooi geschminkt<br />
geweest.<br />
De aankomende tijd gaan we aan de slag met de thema’s “Hoera, een baby” en “Dieren om het huis”.<br />
Uiteraard hopen we ook op beter weer en dat het zonnetje lekker gaat schijnen!<br />
De volgende kinderen zijn nieuw gestart bij Unikids:<br />
Ruben, Lotte, Rein en Amin<br />
We wensen hen heel veel speelplezier bij ons toe!<br />
Activities of the Day Care<br />
The past month, we have been busy with our winter themes, carnival and the body. During the cold<br />
winter days, many crafts were completed: bird houses, penguins, Puk’s body and much more! The<br />
children danced and had gorgeous face paint for carnival.<br />
Now were are getting ready to work with the following themes: “Hooray, there is a baby” and Animals<br />
around the House”. Of course, we are hoping the weather will improve and the sun will come out!<br />
The following children have starting intending Unikids:<br />
Ruben, Lotte, Rein en Amin.<br />
We are whising them lots of fun playtimes here!<br />
