Voorwoord<br />
Foreword<br />
Op het moment dat mij gevraagd wordt<br />
het voorwoord te schrijven voor onze<br />
veilingcatalogus realiseer ik me dat het jaar<br />
weer voorbij gevlogen is. U zult dit gevoel<br />
ongetwijfeld herkennen.<br />
Wij zijn dit jaar afgeweken van onze<br />
traditionele datum, de week na het WK<br />
in Lanaken. De reden hiervoor is het feit<br />
dat de wereldruiterspelen in Tryon dan<br />
plaatsvinden. Dat heeft ons doen besluiten<br />
om dinsdag 2 oktober de datum van onze<br />
veiling te laten zijn.<br />
Wederom hebben we een jaar achter ons<br />
waarin veel van de Dutch Sport Horse Sales<br />
paarden uitstekende prestaties brachten.<br />
Deze successen zijn voor ons een extra<br />
motivatie geweest om ook nu weer een zeer<br />
goede collectie samen te stellen.<br />
Ik hoop dat we u wederom mogen<br />
begroeten op onze locatie Equestrian<br />
Centre de Peelbergen. Laten we samen<br />
deze avond onvergetelijk maken. Ons Dutch<br />
Sport Horse Sales team staat klaar om u te<br />
helpen bij het maken van uw keuze.<br />

When I was asked to write the foreword for<br />
our auction catalogue, I realised that the<br />
year had flown by again. You undoubtedly<br />
know this feeling.<br />
This year we have changed our traditional<br />
auction date, the week after the World<br />
Championships in Lanaken. The reason for<br />
this change is the World Equestrian Games<br />
in Tryon, which take place in September.<br />
Therefore we are holding our auction on<br />
Tuesday, 2 October.<br />
The year behind us again was one in which<br />
many horses from the Dutch Sport Horse<br />
Sales auction performed outstandingly.<br />
Their successes gave us extra motivation<br />
to assemble another very good collection.<br />
I hope we again will greet you at our<br />
Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen location.<br />

Emile, Paul, Timothy & Michel Hendrix<br />
De familie Hendrix runt één van de bekendste<br />
en meest succesvolle spring- en<br />
handelsstallen van de wereld. Door hun<br />
betrokkenheid en kennis van getalenteerde<br />
paarden hebben zij in de paardenhandel<br />
een wereldwijde klantenkring opgebouwd.<br />
Paul streeft naar perfectie en hij heeft er<br />
oog voor om de beste jonge paarden op te<br />
sporen. Samen met de ruiterervaring van<br />
Emile voelen de broers samen feilloos aan<br />
wat een sportpaard in zijn of haar mars<br />
heeft. In 2016 zijn Timothy, zoon van Emile,<br />
en Michel, zoon van Paul, officieel toegetreden<br />
tot de selectiecommissie. Dankzij hun<br />
sportervaring, ruitergevoel en jarenlange<br />
betrokkenheid bij de veiling zijn zij een<br />
perfecte aanvulling op de commissie. Voor<br />
de Dutch Sport Horse Sales zullen deze<br />
hippische ondernemers zich vol overgave<br />
inzetten voor de beste selectie van jonge<br />
springpaarden. Met de <strong>DSHS</strong> kunnen zij<br />
hun klantenkring in een perfecte ambiance<br />
een goed samengestelde collectie jonge<br />
springpaarden presenteren.<br />
Yves Houtackers<br />
Na ruim 12,5 jaar werkzaam te zijn geweest<br />
bij Equestrian Center ‘De IJzeren<br />
Man’ te Weert, is Yves in 2007 zijn eigen<br />
hippische onderneming gestart: Springstal<br />
Yves Houtackers B.V. Hij heeft zijn ervaring<br />
en kennis mede opgedaan bij de Zweedse<br />
top-amazone Malin Baryard en de Duitser<br />
Marcus Ehning. Inmiddels is Yves zelf succesvol<br />
in de springsport en traint hij een<br />
groot aantal internationale ruiters. Sinds<br />
2014 is Yves ook directeur sportief bij het<br />
CHIO Rotterdam. Voor de ontwikkeling van<br />
de Dutch Sport Horse Sales is het van be-<br />

The Hendrix family runs one of the best<br />
known and most successful show jumping<br />
and trading yards in the world. Through<br />
their involvement and knowledge of talented<br />
horses, they have built up a worldwide<br />
clientele in horse trading. Paul strives for<br />
perfection and has an eye for scouting<br />
the best young horses. Along with Emile’s<br />
experience as a top rider they flawlessly<br />
sense whether or not a sport horse<br />
has what it takes. Since 2016 Emile’s son<br />
Timothy and Paul’s son Michel have officially<br />
joined the selection committee. Thanks<br />
to their experience in the sport, aptitude for<br />
show jumping and years of involvement in<br />
the auction they are a perfect addition to<br />
the committee. For the Dutch Sport Horse<br />
Sales these equine entrepreneurs work<br />
diligently to select the best young show<br />
jumpers. With the <strong>DSHS</strong> they are able to<br />
present their customers a well composed<br />
collection of young show jumpers in a perfect<br />
setting.<br />
Yves Houtackers<br />
After 12.5 years of employment at<br />
Equestrian Center ‘De IJzeren Man’ in Weert,<br />
Yves started his own equestrian business<br />
in 2007: Springstal Yves Houtackers B.V.<br />
He gained experience and knowledge working<br />
with Swedish top rider Malin Baryard<br />
and German Marcus Ehning. Meanwhile<br />
Yves himself is successful in show jumping<br />
and he trains a large number of international<br />
riders. Since 2014 Yves is also the<br />
sports director of the CHIO Rotterdam. For<br />
the development of the Dutch Sport Horse<br />
Sales it is important that a rider like Yves<br />
shares responsibility for the selection of<br />

Jafanola<br />
De vierjarige schimmelmerrie Jafanola is een dochter<br />
van de Holsteiner hengst Casimo - een zoon van Cachas<br />
uit de internationale springmerrie Loro Piana Cartella.<br />
Onder het zadel van de getalenteerde Belgische ruiter<br />
Boy-Adrian van Gelderen springt Casimo succesvol op<br />
internationaal niveau. Jafanola’s pedigree gaat via Up<br />
to Date en Quidam de Revel terug op de merrie K-Nola;<br />
deze Corofino I-dochter stond onder meer aan de basis<br />
van de getalenteerde jonge hengsten Jukebox en Joint<br />
Venture die onlangs deels werden aangekocht door<br />
Jos Lansink. Jafanola’s grootmoeder Anola sprong<br />
zelf op 1.30m-niveau, ontving in de IBOP-test een 10<br />
voor vermogen en bracht al het 1.40m-springpaard<br />
Greatest van Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski. Jafanola zelf<br />
werd gescout in de Stal Hendrix-competitie en<br />
valt op door haar correcte manier van springen en<br />
lichtvoetigheid. Met haar manier van draven lijkt zij<br />
ook zeer geschikt voor de huntersport, maar ook in de<br />
springsport heeft Jafanola veel potentie.<br />

The four-year-old grey mare Jafanola is a daughter<br />
of the Holsteiner stallion Casimo, a Cachas son<br />
out of the international jumper mare Loro Piana<br />
Cartella. Under the talented Belgian rider Boy-Adrian<br />
van Gelderen, Casimo is competing successfully<br />
at the international level. By way of Up to Date and<br />
Quidam de Revel, Jafanola’s pedigree traces back to<br />
the mare K-Nola. This Corofino I daughter is at the<br />
foundation of horses including the talented young<br />
stallions Jukebox and Joint Venture, in which Jos<br />
Lansink recently purchased a share. Jafanola’s<br />
granddam Anola competed at the 1.30m level,<br />
scored a 10 for scope in the IBOP test and produced<br />
the 1.40m-level show jumper Greatest, ridden by<br />
Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski. Jafanola, who was scouted<br />
at the Stal Hendrix competition, turns heads with her<br />
correct way of jumping and light-footed movement.<br />
With her trot, she is very suited for hunters but also<br />
has abundant potential for show jumping.<br />

De Corland-zoon Jobar valt op door zijn fantastisch<br />
gedragen galop, lichtvoetigheid en geweldige<br />
manier van springen. Door zijn talenten op meerdere<br />
vlakken is het nog niet gezegd welke richting Jobar<br />
uit zal gaan; hij heeft zowel de kwaliteiten om een<br />
top hunter te worden, alsook om zich tot een top<br />
springpaard te ontwikkelen. Vader Corland sprong<br />
zelf op het hoogste niveau onder Wout-Jan van<br />
der Schans en groeide in de fokkerij uit tot één<br />
van de beste springpaardenleveranciers van het<br />
afgelopen decennia. Nakomelingen als Silvana<br />
HDC (Kevin Staut), California (Gerco Schröder &<br />
Bassem Hassan Mohammed), Bacardi VDL (Janika<br />
Sprunger) en Apardi (Daniel Bluman) zijn slechts<br />
enkele voorbeelden van Corland-nazaten op het<br />
hoogste niveau. Jobar is daarnaast nauw verwant<br />
aan internationale springpaarden als Copabella<br />
Visage (Brooke Campbell) en Blue Sky van de<br />
Olmenhoeve (Jimmy Torano).<br />

The Corland son Jobar stands out with his<br />
fantastic carried canter, light-footed movement<br />
and splendid way of jumping. Because he shows<br />
talent in several areas, we cannot yet say the<br />
direction in which he will go. Jobar possesses<br />
the qualities to become a top hunter as well as<br />
a top show jumper. His sire Corland competed<br />
at the highest level under Wout-Jan van der<br />
Schans and became one of the best jumper sires<br />
of the past decades. The show jumpers Silvana<br />
HDC (Kevin Staut), California (Gerco Schröder<br />
& Bassem Hassan Mohammed), Bacardi VDL<br />
(Janika Sprunger) and Apardi (Daniel Bluman) are<br />
just a few examples of Corland offspring which<br />
compete at the highest level. Jobar is also closely<br />
related to international show jumpers including<br />

Joyko Keysershof<br />
Joyko Keysershof is een merrie uit de eerste<br />
jaargang van de negenjarige hengst Entertainer.<br />
Onder Michel Hendrix doet de Warrant-zoon<br />
het voortreffelijk op internationaal niveau;<br />
vorig jaar viel het duo al op in de Sires of the<br />
World in Lanaken en dit jaar sprong Entertainer<br />
al imponerende rondes op concoursen als<br />
Outdoor Gelderland, Poznan, Opglabbeek en<br />
De Peelbergen. Joyko Keysershof is gefokt<br />
uit de Lovefever II-dochter C’est Tout, die zelf<br />
op 1.30m-niveau sprong en al het voormalige<br />
<strong>DSHS</strong>-paard Gerton voortbracht. Onder de<br />
Duitse topamazone Katharina Offel ontwikkelt<br />
Gerton zich bijzonder goed en maakte hij al op<br />
zevenjarige leeftijd zijn 1.40m-debuut. Joyko<br />
Keysershof viel zelf op in de Stal Hendrixcompetitie<br />
en plaatste zich voor de finale.<br />

Joyko Keysershof is from the first crop of foals<br />
by the nine-year-old stallion Entertainer. Under<br />
Michel Hendrix, this Warrant son is excelling at<br />
the international level: last year the duo drew<br />
acclaim in the Sires of the World competition<br />
at Lanaken; and this year Entertainer jumped<br />
impressively in competitions including Outdoor<br />
Gelderland, Poznan, Opglabbeek and De<br />
Peelbergen. Joyko Keysershof is out of the<br />
Lovefever II daughter C’est Tout, who competed<br />
at the 1.30m level and produced the past Dutch<br />
Sport Horse Sales auction horse Gerton. Under<br />
elite rider Katharina Offel of Germany, Gerton is<br />
developing very well: at age seven, he made his<br />
debut in the 1.40m. Joyko Keysershof turned<br />
heads in the Stal Hendrix competition and<br />
qualified for the final.<br />

door Stal Hendrix op de KWPN Hengstenkeuring.<br />
Deze vierjarige zoon van Falaise de Muze valt op<br />
door zijn goede manier van springen en fijne manier<br />
van bewegen; Jumper de Muze heeft zowel als<br />
springpaard als hunter veel potentie. Vader Falaise<br />
de Muze sprong zelf op internationaal niveau met<br />
Annelies Vorsselmans en is een zoon van topvererver<br />
Wandor van de Mispelaere uit de beroemde merrie<br />
Walnut de Muze, die op het hoogste niveau sprong<br />
onder Harrie Smolders. Met zijn eerste jaargangen<br />
weet Falaise de Muze te overtuigen en brengt hij<br />
nakomelingen met veel kwaliteit en vermogen.<br />
Jumper de Muze is gefokt uit Farmer-dochter Linda<br />
die reeds het internationale springpaard Casco Junior<br />
bracht. Onder Todd Minikus sprong Casco Junior op<br />
1.50m-niveau. Daarnaast is ook het internationale<br />
springpaard VDL Groep Odalinda van Mathijs van<br />
Asten nauw verwant aan Jumper de Muze.<br />
Iron Lady HX<br />
Jumper de Muze was purchased by Stal Hendrix as<br />
a youngster at the KWPN Stallion Show. This fouryear-old<br />
gelding sets himself apart with his good<br />
jumping style and lovely movement, giving him<br />
abundant potential both as a show jumper and a<br />
hunter. Jumper de Muze’s sire Falaise de Muze, who<br />
competed at the international level under Annelies<br />
Vorsselmans, is by the top sire Wandor van de<br />
Mispelaere out of the renowned mare Walnut de<br />
Muze, who jumped at the highest level under Harrie<br />
Smolders. Falaise de Muze boasts convincing<br />
first crops of foals and produces offspring with<br />
abundant talent and scope. Jumper de Muze is<br />
out of the Farmer daughter Linda, who produced<br />
the international show jumper Casco Junior. Under<br />
Todd Minikus, Casco Junior competed at the 1.50m<br />
level. In addition, the international show jumper<br />
VDL Groep Odalinda, ridden by Mathijs van Asten, is<br />

Iron Lady HX<br />
Iron Lady HX is een dochter van de uitstekende<br />
vererver Bustique uit de Calido I-dochter<br />
N-Calida. Iron Lady HX’ volle broer Harvard HX<br />
werd vorig jaar verkocht op de Dutch Sport<br />
Horse Sales en kwam in handen van de<br />
Manton Grange Stables. Onder het zadel van<br />
de Ier Conor McMahon was Harvard HX reeds<br />
bijzonder succesvol met onder meer een derde<br />
plaats en een tweede plaats in de finales voor<br />
zesjarigen springpaarden op Knokke Hippique.<br />
Iron Lady HX lijkt niet minder kwaliteit te hebben<br />
dan haar volle broer en bereikte de finale van de<br />
Stal Hendrix-competitie. De vijfjarige merrie valt<br />
keer op keer op door haar gelijkmatige, goede<br />
manier van springen. Haar moeder N-Calida gaf<br />
ook al de internationale springpaarden Acolido<br />
en Clausen.<br />
Iron Lady HX<br />
Iron Lady HX is a daughter of the outstanding<br />
sire Bustique out of the Calido I daughter<br />
N-Calida. Last year, Iron Lady HX’s full-brother<br />
Harvard HX was sold at the Dutch Sport Horse<br />
Sales auction and came into the hands of<br />
Manton Grange Stables. Under the saddle<br />
of Irishman Conor McMahon, Harvard HX is<br />
already very successful, with achievements<br />
including third and second place in the finals<br />
for six-year-old jumpers at Knokke Hippique.<br />
Iron Lady HX, who shows as much talent as<br />
her full-brother, advanced to the final of the<br />
Stal Hendrix competition. Time and again, the<br />
five-year-old mare turns heads with her steady,<br />
good way of jumping. Her dam N-Calida also<br />
produced the international show jumpers<br />

aangekocht door Stal Hendrix op de Limburgse<br />
Veulenveiling. Ici’s moeder Ultralux V sprong<br />
bijzonder goed op landelijk niveau in Limburg<br />
en Ici valt ook al van begin af aan op door zijn<br />
geweldige sprong. Zijn moederlijn bracht al vele<br />
internationale springpaarden, waaronder de<br />
goedgekeurde hengst Salvador V van Johannes<br />
Ehning. Vader Douglas geeft het ene na het<br />
andere Grand Prix-springpaard en is onder meer<br />
de vader van Suma’s Zorro, die onder Sameh<br />
El Dahan dit jaar de vijfsterren Grand Prix van<br />
de Global Champions Tour in Parijs op naam<br />
schreef. Ici kwalificeerde zich met gemak voor<br />
de KWPN Kampioenschappen voor vijfjarige<br />
springpaarden in Ermelo en lijkt een zeer<br />
interessant paard voor de toekomst.<br />

Stal Hendrix acquired the Douglas son Ici as<br />
a foal at the Limburg Foal Auction. His dam<br />
Ultralux V jumped exceptionally well at the<br />
national level in Limburg, and Ici likewise turns<br />
heads with his amazing jump. His dam-line<br />
has produced numerous international show<br />
jumpers, among them the approved stallion<br />
Salvador V, ridden by Johannes Ehning. Ici’s<br />
sire Douglas, who produces one Grand Prix<br />
show jumper after another, is the sire of<br />
horses including Suma’s Zorro, who won the<br />
five-star Grand Prix at the Global Champions<br />
Tour in Paris this year under Sameh El Dahan.<br />
In Ermelo, Ici easily qualified for the KWPN<br />

This large, Hanoverian-bred gelding named Don<br />
Chacco is by the Thoroughbred stallion Duke<br />
of Hearts out of an outstanding dam-line. Don<br />
Chacco’s dam Cleo is by the top sire Chacco Blue,<br />
who claimed the number 1 position in the 2017<br />
WBFSH Sire Ranking. Don Chacco’s granddam<br />
Windoria is a Lordanos daughter and a half-sister<br />
to the Grand Prix show jumpers Liquido and<br />
Archie Bunker. Furthermore, Windoria is also the<br />
granddam of the approved stallion Coupe d’Or,<br />
who is making his international break-through<br />
under Philip Bölle. Although Don Chacco has not<br />
shown in many competitions, he is a horse with<br />
outstanding rideability and very abundant scope;<br />
and he already behaves in a mature manner. All<br />

Met grote overtuiging werd Immanuel R dit jaar<br />
uitverkozen tot kampioen van de Stal Hendrixcompetitie<br />
voor vijfjarige springpaarden. In de<br />
finale verdiende Immanuel R zelfs een 9,0 voor het<br />
springen en een 8,6 voor het gaan in het parcours<br />
en daarmee behield hij in de finale ruimschoots<br />
zijn koppositie. Immanuel R is een zoon van de<br />
Heartbreaker-nazaat Echo van ’t Spieveld, die zich in<br />
de fokkerij lijkt te bewijzen met vele internationale<br />
nakomelingen. De invloed van grootvader Roven xx<br />
is ook nog duidelijk zichtbaar in deze hoogbenige<br />
en lichtvoetige Immanuel R, die in zijn pedigree<br />
teruggaat op de bekende Farn-dochter Sakilly.<br />
Grootmoeder Nikilly D gaf al het internationale<br />
Grand Prix-springpaard Zidane van Marcel Ewen en<br />

In this year’s Stal Hendrix competition for five-yearold<br />
jumpers, Immanuel R very convincingly emerged<br />
the champion. In the final, he even earned a 9.0 for<br />
jumping and an 8.6 for his way of going in the course;<br />
and as a result, he maintained his strong lead over his<br />
compatriots. Immanuel R is a son of the Heartbreaker<br />
offspring Echo van ’t Spieveld, who is proving himself<br />
as a breeding stallion with his numerous international<br />

Na een goede opleiding in Nederland vertrok El<br />
Primero naar de Verenigde Staten, waar hij zijn<br />
carrière succesvol als hunter heeft voortgezet. Il<br />
Bandito del OMHG is gefokt uit de Corland-dochter<br />
Shoraya, die reeds de internationale springpaarden<br />
Bayla (Bianca Lafontaine), Ehraya OMHG (Jessica<br />
Timgren) en de goedgekeurde hengst Famous<br />
Felix OMHG (Conor Swail) voortbracht. Deze<br />
moederlijn gaf ook al Grand Prix-springpaarden<br />

training in the Netherlands, El Primero was sent<br />
to the USA, where he is successfully continuing<br />
his career as a hunter. Il Bandito del OMHG is<br />
out of the Corland daughter Shoraya, who also<br />
is dam to the international show jumpers Bayla<br />
(Bianca Lafontaine), Ehraya OMHG (Jessica<br />
Timgren) and the approved stallion Famous Felix<br />

hebben kunnen nemen in de veilingcollectie. Itina<br />
is een merrie die top rijkwaliteiten combineert<br />
met top springmanieren. Dit moderne springpaard<br />
beschikt over een zeer goede galop en lijkt<br />
absoluut een paard waar we in de toekomst nog<br />
veel van gaan horen. Vader Kannan behoort al<br />
jaren tot de beste verervers ter wereld, maar<br />
vooral de combinatie met Indorado, Cash en de<br />
befaamde Karin-stam maakt de pedigree van<br />

The Dutch Sport Horse Sales selection committee<br />
is proud to have the Kannan daughter Itina in its<br />
auction collection. Combining excellent rideability<br />
with excellent jumping style, this modern show<br />
jumper boasts a very good canter and promises to<br />
be a horse that we’ll often hear about in the future.<br />
Although her sire Kannan has ranked among the<br />
world’s best sires for years, the combination of<br />
Indorado, Cash and the renowned Karin-line make<br />
Itina’s pedigree especially strong. Her granddam<br />
Retina M produced the international show jumper<br />
Narcissist FBH (Abdullah Al Marri). Furthermore,<br />

Interview - Fred Goltz<br />
“I am impressed by the consistency of their performance”<br />
American Fred Goltz is one of the Dutch<br />
Sport Horse Sales auction’s most loyal<br />
customers. He owns Manton Grange<br />
Stables, where seven auction horses are<br />
stabled. Goltz on his stable: “My biggest<br />
success so far with Manton Grange Stables<br />
is having built a really good team with<br />
good horse people. Tom Slattery, Conor<br />
McMahon and the rest of the team are<br />
amazing to work with, taking green horses,<br />
putting them in a successful program, and<br />
turning them into good quality jumpers.“<br />
“I met Paul and Emile when I was living in<br />
California, and a trainer brought me over<br />
to try some horses,” Goltz begins. “When<br />

I started visiting Holland frequently a<br />
little over five years ago and was getting<br />
more serious about having a young horse<br />
program, I started to spend more time at<br />
the auction. Even before we started buying<br />
horses, we observed the success that others<br />
had achieved.” Since Fred moved to the UK,<br />
he has attended every <strong>DSHS</strong> - and with<br />
good results. Goltz: “We purchased two fiveyear-olds<br />
three years ago, a five- and a fouryear-old<br />
two years ago and three horses in<br />
2017: they are Haufóm, Iris VII, Harvard HX,<br />
Kamara van ‘t Heike, Fix Blue, Haranta and<br />
Larca van Erpecom.”<br />
Consistent performers<br />
Fred and his team have seven <strong>DSHS</strong> horses at<br />
their stable, so they can compare the jumpers<br />
easily. “All the horses have their specific<br />
traits. What has been most impressive is the<br />
consistency of their performances. Instead<br />
of having one superstar, we were able to buy<br />
a number of very good quality horses that<br />
keep performing at a high level. Haufóm,<br />
Kamara, Harvard HX and Iris VII are the more<br />
special ones, but all the horses have a job<br />
to do for the right rider at the right time,”<br />
explains Goltz.<br />
“Haufóm was a horse that gave an<br />
unbelievable feeling right from the start,”<br />
asserts Goltz. “He has a great mind and<br />
doesn’t get flustered. Harvard HX was<br />
green when we bought him, and over the<br />
course of the last six months he has really<br />
come along; and he has been performing at<br />
a very high level, especially the last several<br />
months in Valkenswaard and Knokke.<br />
Iris VII is just five, but she won classes in<br />
Knokke. We bought Haranta more for a<br />
Connor McMahon - Haranta<br />
young rider in mind than the big sport, but<br />
she also won a class in Knokke! They are all<br />
doing extremely well.”<br />
Increased chances of success<br />
Goltz and his team keep coming back to the<br />
auction because they know that the team<br />
(Paul, Emile, Tim, Michel and Yves) do a<br />
tremendous amount of work with respect to<br />
selection. He continues: “When we try the<br />
horses, we know that they are genuine. And<br />
when we get a good feeling from a horse, we<br />
are pretty sure that if we train it according<br />
to our system, it will only get better. Buying<br />
a young horse is a bit risky. But if you try to<br />
get all the variables as right as possible and<br />
focus on buying horses with a consistent<br />
background, you increase your chances<br />
of success.” When asked if they will be<br />
attending the auction, Goltz answers without<br />
hesitation: “We will definitely be there again<br />
this year. We look forward to it!”<br />

Interview - Hillary Ridland<br />
“You can trust Hendrix, and that is a huge thing in this industry”<br />
For over three decades, California-based<br />
Hillary Ridland has purchased top show<br />
jumpers from Stal Hendrix. Together with<br />
her husband Robert, who is the U.S. show<br />
jumping chef d’equipe and technical advisor,<br />
she frequently visits the Hendrix stable and<br />
the Dutch Sport Horse Sales auction. Hillary:<br />
“I wish I could say that we’ve attended every<br />
auction. But when we need horses, we need<br />
them immediately. That’s why we visit the<br />
Hendrix stable a couple of times a year. But<br />
we will be there this year, absolutely. We<br />
purchased such a good horse last year, so<br />
we can’t wait until October. ”<br />
Hillary on her relationship with the Hendrix<br />
brothers: “When Paul, Emile and I were in our<br />
early twenties, we started working together.<br />
That was 35 years ago. We had heard about<br />
the brothers from a mutual friend in Mexico,<br />
who had purchased some<br />
youngsters from them. He<br />
was enthusiastic about the<br />
brothers so I decided to<br />
write them a letter, which<br />
someone had to translate.<br />
And then they wrote back,<br />
so you can imagine how<br />
long this took! Eventually<br />
I flew to Holland, and<br />
that’s how the relationship<br />
started. It’s felt like family<br />
ever since.”<br />
Hillary Ridland<br />
Fairy-tale story<br />
“In our industry, most<br />
people would agree that<br />
their level of integrity,<br />
quality of horses and<br />
general work ethic is like<br />
no other,” says Hillary of her<br />
long-standing relationship<br />
with the Hendrix brothers.<br />
She continues: “They put<br />
horses and clients first.<br />
You can trust them, and<br />
that is a huge thing in this<br />
industry. When I met Paul<br />
and Emile, they had just<br />
started taking over their<br />

family’s farm. And look where they are now!<br />
They have their own stable, a horse show,<br />
and they’ve brought their children into the<br />
business. A fairy-tale story in the horse<br />
industry, if you ask me!”<br />
“Gloed just caught my eye”<br />
Last year Hillary and Francie Looke bought<br />
Gloed, the 2017 Dutch Champion in the sixyear-old<br />
division. An atypical purchase, as<br />
Hillary explains: “Normally the horses that<br />
I look for are older, but he just caught my<br />
eye. Francie was with me, and she just<br />
loved him.”<br />
Sometimes a horse that has achieved<br />
impressive results as a youngster does not<br />
meet expectations in the long term. But not<br />
Gloed. Hillary explains: “Gloed doesn’t act<br />
like a young horse: he’s really wise, careful<br />
and has tons of scope. We already knew he<br />
was a really good horse, but he has exceeded<br />
our expectations. I rode him the first half<br />
year, and Francie took over a month ago. The<br />
plan with Gloed is to start him in the 1.30m<br />
and maybe the 1.40m classes next year. He’s<br />
a horse for the higher levels.”<br />
“He just has to grow up”<br />
Gloed’s Dutch champion title will not<br />
remain the highlight of his career; with his<br />
talent, he is destined for many more. In the<br />
short time he has been in Hillary’s hands,<br />
he has performed very well. Hillary: “We<br />
took him to Spruce Meadows to compete<br />
in the 1.35m. That venue can be difficult,<br />
especially for young horses. But he was<br />
clear or double clear every day. He always<br />
wants to win. If you want to go fast, he will<br />
go fast. He’s the kind of horse you don’t<br />
want to practice with too much; he just has<br />
to grow up.”<br />

Zoals de naam al doet suggereren is Istinov<br />
een zoon van de topvererver Ustinov. De<br />
kwaliteitsvolle Libero H-zoon gaf al vele<br />
succesvolle internationale springpaarden en<br />
ook via de Dutch Sport Horse Sales kwamen<br />
veel Ustinov-nakomelingen op topstallen<br />
terecht. Istinov is gefokt uit de merrie V.Sellie -<br />
een dochter van de Voltaire-zoon Vegas uit een<br />
moeder van Coriander. In combinatie met Calvaro<br />
Z gaf V. Sellie al het internationale springpaard<br />
Erka van Joy Lammers en in combinatie met<br />
Ukato het succesvolle springpaard Fellie,<br />
eveneens van Joy Lammers. Daarnaast is V.Sellie<br />
de halfzus van het internationale Grand Prixspringpaard<br />
T Sellie. Istinovs moeder gaf dus al<br />
meerdere succesvolle springpaarden en met het<br />
talent van Istinov zelf lijkt hem niks in de weg te<br />
staan om zich ook door te ontwikkelen richting<br />
de internationale springsport.<br />
Istinov<br />
As his name suggests, Istinov is a son of the<br />
top sire Ustinov. This talented Libero H son has<br />
produced numerous successful international<br />
show jumpers, and many Ustinov offspring have<br />
found their way to top stables via the Dutch Sport<br />
Horse Sales auction. Istinov is out of V.Sellie, a<br />
daughter of the Voltaire son Vegas out of a<br />
Coriander mare. V.Sellie is also the dam of two<br />
horses ridden by Joy Lammers: the international<br />
show jumper Erka, a Calvaro Z daughter; and<br />
the successful show jumper Fellie, an Ukato<br />
daughter. In addition, V.Sellie is a half-sister to<br />
the international Grand Prix show jumper T Sellie.<br />
Istinov’s dam has produced multiple successful<br />
show jumpers; and with Istinov’s talent, there<br />
is every possibility that he will become an<br />

successful sport career, Virturose began a<br />
new career as a broodmare: bred to Cicero<br />
Z van Paemel, she produced the KWPNselected<br />
stallion Klacid of Cicero. In addition,<br />
Ivizi’s granddam Pleyrose V produced the<br />
international show jumpers Cupido V (Maikel<br />
van der Vleuten) and Adorose (Kelly Tropin).<br />
The Grand Prix show jumpers Ranino (Alfredo<br />

Bred by Stal Hendrix, Hendrick’s HX is a son<br />
of the acclaimed stallion Bustique out of the<br />
very special Concorde daughter Kathja. She<br />
competed at the highest level under Emile<br />
Hendrix, boasting achievements including fourth<br />
place in the 2001 Grand Prix of Rotterdam and<br />
fifth place in the 2002 Grand Prix of Vigo. Kathja<br />
subsequently became the Dutch champion<br />
in the Young Riders division under Kevin van<br />
den Nieuwenhuyzen and competed in the<br />
European Jumping Championships for Young<br />
Riders, Juniors and Children in 2003 and 2004.<br />
Hendrick’s HX’s sire Bustique produced the<br />
top horse of the 2017 Dutch Sport Horse Sales<br />
auction: Goliath, who is excelling in international<br />

Hokuspokus is een prachtige zesjarige dochter<br />

foal, and she was subsequently trained in Sweden.<br />
This spring, she returned to the Netherlands and<br />
qualified for the KWPN Championships in Ermelo.<br />
Hokuspokus also participated in the international<br />
competitions for six-year-old show jumpers. Her<br />
sire Contendro, who is among the current leading<br />
sires, is known for producing elite horses such as<br />

Hendriek in de veilingcollectie te mogen presenteren.<br />
Vorig jaar viel Hendriek zeer positief op bij de KWPN<br />
Kampioenschappen voor vijfjarigen in Ermelo en<br />
wist hij een ticket voor het wereldkampioenschap<br />
in Lanaken te bemachtigen. Daar hield slechts<br />
een tijdfout Hendriek uit de finale voor de vijfjarige<br />
springpaarden. Stal Hendrix kocht Hendriek aan na<br />
deze goede prestaties en onder Pieter Keunen heeft<br />
de Indoctro-zoon dit jaar weer vele foutloze rondes<br />
gesprongen en kwalificeerde hij zich voor de KWPN<br />
Kampioenschappen voor zesjarigen. Het ziet er naar<br />
uit dat Hendriek alle mogelijkheden heeft om de<br />
goede prestaties van vorig jaar dit jaar te evenaren.<br />
Vader Indoctro is een absolute topvererver en<br />
moeder Caronette springt zelf op internationaal<br />
1.40m-niveau. De moederlijn van Hendriek gaf al<br />
veel getalenteerde springpaarden, waaronder de<br />
goedgekeurde hengst Advance.<br />

The Dutch Sport Horse Sales committee is proud<br />
to present this Indoctro son Hendriek in the<br />
auction collection. Last year, Hendriek garnered<br />
acclaim in the five-year-old division of the KWPN<br />
Championships in Ermelo and secured a ticket to<br />
the World Championships in Lanaken, where only a<br />
time fault kept him out of the final for five-year-old<br />
show jumpers. After these achievements, Hendriek<br />
was purchased by Stal Hendrix. This year, he has<br />

maar de laatste maanden lijkt Nabab dy Loma Z de<br />
aansluiting met zijn leeftijdsgenoten met gemak te<br />
vinden. Vader Nabab de Rêve wordt gezien als één<br />
van de beste verervers van zijn generatie en ook<br />
grootvader Landor S en overgrootvader Grannus<br />

The Nabab de Rêve son Nabab dy Loma Z is a<br />
six-year-old gelding with good conformation and<br />
above average scope. Although he is perhaps<br />
relatively inexperienced for his age, in recent<br />
months Nabab dy Loma Z has been easily<br />
catching up to his peers. His sire Nabab de<br />
Rêve is considered among the best sires of his<br />
generation, and Nabab dy Loma Z’s grandsire<br />
Landor S and great-grandsire Grannus are also<br />
top sires. Nabab dy Loma Z’s granddam Kyloma,<br />
a former successful national show jumper,<br />
produced the Grand Prix show jumper Papillon,<br />
ridden by Nikolaos Lorandos of Greece. As his<br />

Veterinaire rapporten<br />

Terms and conditions<br />
1. Algemeen<br />
1.1 De Dutch Sport Horse Sales [danwel Hendrix<br />
Events B.V., zaakdoende onder de naam<br />
Dutch Sport Horse Sales] (hierna zowel<br />
afzonderlijk als gezamenlijk te noemen:<br />
<strong>DSHS</strong>), organiseert in haar functie van bemiddelaar<br />
tussen verkoper en koper op 2 oktober<br />
<strong>2018</strong> de Dutch Sport Horse Sales (hierna<br />
te noemen: de veiling) op de accommodatie<br />
van Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen<br />
te Kronenberg. De veiling zal plaatsvinden<br />
onder toezicht van een notaris.<br />
1.2 Deze veilingvoorwaarden zijn van toepassing<br />
op alle tijdens de veiling gesloten<br />
koopovereenkomsten met betrekking tot via<br />
<strong>DSHS</strong> aangeboden paarden, alsmede alle<br />
overeenkomsten die daaruit voortvloeien.<br />
1.3 Op deze overeenkomsten is Nederlands<br />
recht van toepassing.<br />
1. General<br />
1.1 The Dutch Sport Horse Sales Foundation<br />
[also known as Hendrix Events BV, trading<br />
under the name Dutch Sport Horse Sales]<br />
(hereinafter individually and collectively referred<br />
to as: <strong>DSHS</strong>), organises in its function<br />
as an intermediary between sellers and buyers<br />
the Dutch Sport Horse Sales (hereinafter:<br />
the auction) on the 2nd October <strong>2018</strong> on the<br />
property of Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen<br />
in Kronenberg in the Netherlands. The auction<br />
will be held under the supervision of a<br />
notary.<br />
1.2 These auction terms and conditions are applicable<br />
to all sales agreements concluded<br />
during the auction related to the horses offered<br />
via <strong>DSHS</strong>, as well as any agreements<br />
resulting from that.<br />
1.3 This agreement is governed by Dutch law.<br />
1.4 Deze voorwaarden worden vóór aanvang<br />
van de veiling bekend gemaakt en zijn in de<br />
veilingcatalogus opgenomen.<br />

prior to the start of the auction and<br />
are also included in the auction catalogue.<br />
2. Verkoop/Veiling<br />
Tijdens de veiling zullen de paarden onder het zadel<br />
voorgesteld worden. De paarden zullen<br />
tijdens de veiling per opbod in Euro’s worden verkocht,<br />
tenzij anders aangegeven, met een<br />
minimale inzet van € 30.000,-. Er wordt geboden<br />
in bedragen van € 2.000,- tot € 50.000,- en daarboven<br />
in bedragen van € 5.000,-.<br />
Een potentiële bieder/koper zal aan zijn/haar bod<br />
worden gehouden, totdat een eventueel hoger<br />
bod volgt. Krijgt de koper de afslag door de veilingmeester<br />
toegewezen dan is die betreffende<br />
koper verplicht het rekening bedrag te voldoen,<br />
zoals in artikel 3 berekend. In geval van twijfel<br />
betreffende de geldigheid van een afslag, kan het<br />

by bidding in the Euro currency, unless otherwise<br />
stated, with a minimum starting bid of € 30,000.00.<br />
Bids are to be made in increments of € 2,000.00 at<br />
a time up to € 50,000.00, and above that bid increments<br />
are to be made in € 5,000.00 at a time.<br />
Potential bidders/buyers will be held to their<br />
bids until a higher bid has been received. If the<br />
auctioneer awards a bid to a buyer, the relevant<br />
buyer is obliged to pay the amount due as defined<br />
in Article 3. In case of doubt concerning<br />
the validity of a bid, the previous bid can be accepted<br />
again, after which bidding can resume.<br />

laatste opbod weer aangenomen worden en zal<br />
het opbieden hervat worden. De notaris beslist<br />
bindend over eventuele geschillen die bij of tijdens<br />
het bieden ontstaan.<br />
3. Afrekening veilingbedrag en -kosten<br />
3.1 Direct na afloop van de veiling dient de<br />
koper zijn/haar betalingsverplichtingen<br />
te vervullen op het veilingbureau. Indien<br />
de koper hieraan niet voldoet, is <strong>DSHS</strong><br />
gerechtigd de bieding niet te erkennen<br />
en ongeldig te verklaren en het gekochte<br />
paard opnieuw te veilen, dan wel het gekochte<br />
paard toe te wijzen aan de een na<br />
hoogste bieder. De koper is in dat geval van<br />
rechtswege in verzuim en is gehouden de<br />
daardoor veroorzaakte schade aan <strong>DSHS</strong><br />
te vergoeden, onverminderd de overige<br />
rechten van <strong>DSHS</strong>.<br />
3.2 Het rekening bedrag wordt als volgt berekend:<br />

1½% verzekering (optioneel) +<br />
Rekening bedrag exclusief<br />
21% Nederlandse omzetbelasting<br />
Het rekening bedrag is per direct opeisbaar.<br />
Betaling geschiedt per bank, het is niet mogelijk<br />
het rekening bedrag in contanten te<br />
voldoen. Verrekening van eventuele tegenvorderingen<br />
is uitgesloten.<br />
3.3 Het is <strong>DSHS</strong> toegestaan om informatie in te<br />
winnen omtrent de financiële gegoedheid<br />
van een betreffende bieder/koper en deelname<br />
aan de veiling door en het sluiten van een<br />
overeenkomst met de betreffende bieder/koper<br />
afhankelijk te stellen van de ingewonnen<br />
informatie.<br />
In the event of any disputes arising with or during<br />
the bidding process, the decision of the notary<br />
shall be binding.<br />
3. Settlement of auction amounts<br />
and expenses<br />
3.1 Immediately after completion of the auction<br />
buyers are obliged to settle amounts due in<br />
the auction office. If a buyer should fail to<br />
comply with this obligation, <strong>DSHS</strong> shall be<br />
entitled not to recognise the offer and to declare<br />
the auction invalidate, after which the<br />
purchased horse will again be made available<br />
for auction or alternatively the purchased<br />
horse is to be allocated to the second highest<br />
bidder. The buyer shall in this event be<br />
considered to be in legal default and shall<br />
be liable to compensate <strong>DSHS</strong> for any damage<br />
incurred, without prejudice to any other<br />
rights that <strong>DSHS</strong> may have.<br />
3.2 The amount due shall be calculated as follows:<br />

Invoice amount is exclusive<br />
of 21% Dutch VAT<br />
The balance shall become payable immediately.<br />
Payment is to be made by bank transfer<br />
and cash payment of the amount shall<br />
not be accepted. Settlement of any counterclaims<br />
is excluded.<br />
3.3 <strong>DSHS</strong> is entitled to gather information on<br />
the financial situation of a specific bidder/<br />
buyer and participant to the auction and may<br />
decide to make the conclusion of an agreement<br />
with the relevant bidder/buyer conditional,<br />
based on the information obtained.<br />

3.4 Bij afrekening op het veilingbureau bestaat<br />
de mogelijkheid voor de koper om een verzekering<br />
af te sluiten voor het gekochte paard.<br />
Een dergelijke verzekering wordt niet door<br />
<strong>DSHS</strong> afgesloten.<br />
4. Veilingpaarden; aansprakelijkheid<br />
4.1 De aangeboden paarden in de veiling zijn geïdentificeerd<br />
op afstamming, geslacht, kleur<br />
en geboortejaar, zoals deze in de catalogus<br />
zijn aangegeven. <strong>DSHS</strong> sluit aansprakelijkheid<br />
uit met betrekking tot de gezondheidstoestand,<br />
de prestaties en/of gebruiksdoeleinden<br />
van de te veilen paarden.<br />
4.2 <strong>DSHS</strong> is niet aansprakelijk voor schade aan<br />
personen of zaken, ontstaan voorafgaand<br />
aan, ten tijde van en na de veiling, behoudens<br />
indien deze schade het gevolg is van opzet<br />
of bewuste roekeloosheid van <strong>DSHS</strong> of haar<br />
leidinggevende ondergeschikten.<br />
4.3 De paarden die via de veiling verkocht zullen<br />
worden zijn ten laatste 3 maanden voorafgaande<br />
aan de veiling röntgenologisch in<br />
orde bevonden. Een gebruikelijke klinische<br />
(sportpaarden-)keuring heeft ten laatste<br />
twee weken vóór de veiling plaatsgevonden.<br />
4.4 De veterinaire bevindingen kunnen voorafgaande<br />
aan de veiling op verzoek van de potentiële<br />
koper worden ingezien en toegelicht<br />
door veilingdierenarts E. Enzerink, of zijn<br />
plaatsvervanger.<br />
5. Afgifte, risico- en eigendomsoverdracht<br />
5.1 Direct na de gunning van een paard gaat het<br />
risico met betrekking tot het gekochte paard<br />
over op de koper en zijn alle verantwoordelijkheden<br />
en aansprakelijkheden, alsmede<br />
alle risicofactoren overgedragen aan de be-<br />

4. Auction Horses; liability<br />

liability with regard to health status, the<br />
performance and/or purpose of use of the<br />
horses to be auctioned.<br />
4.2 <strong>DSHS</strong> cannot be held liable for damage to<br />
persons or property arising prior to, during or<br />
after the auction, except if such damage is<br />
caused by intent or deliberate recklessness<br />
on the part of <strong>DSHS</strong> or its subordinates.<br />
4.3 The horses sold through the auction have<br />
been found to be in good condition following<br />
a radiographic test conducted at least three<br />

examination (for sport horses) has been<br />

5. Release and transfer of risk and ownership<br />
5.1 Immediately after a bid on a horse has been<br />
accepted, any risks related to the purchased<br />
horse shall be transferred to the buyer and<br />
any responsibility and liability, as well as all<br />
risk factors are transferred to the respective<br />
buyer. The buyer shall indemnify <strong>DSHS</strong> from<br />
any claims brought by third parties.<br />

treffende koper. De koper zal <strong>DSHS</strong> vrijwaren<br />
voor alle aanspraken van derden ter zake.<br />
5.2 De eigendom van het gekochte paard gaat<br />
op de koper over op het moment van afname<br />
als bedoeld in artikel 5.3 van deze voorwaarden,<br />
doch niet eerder dan nadat koper de volledige<br />
koopsom en eventuele op grond van<br />
niet-nakoming verschuldigde bedragen aan<br />
<strong>DSHS</strong> zal hebben voldaan.<br />
5.3 De koper is verplicht het gekochte paard af te<br />
nemen op de door <strong>DSHS</strong> vastgestelde plaats<br />
en tijd en bij gebreke daarvan binnen de daarvoor<br />
in de veilingcatalogus gestelde termijn,<br />
indien <strong>DSHS</strong> daarom verzoekt op vertoon van<br />
een deugdelijk legitimatiebewijs. De levering<br />
van het gekochte paard vindt plaats door<br />
de afname. De afname bestaat uit het door<br />
de koper ophalen van het gekochte paard.<br />
De afname kan eerst plaatsvinden nadat<br />
de volledige koopsom en het overigens verschuldigde<br />
door de koper is voldaan. Indien<br />
de koper de afname weigert of nalatig is met<br />
het verstrekken van informatie of instructies<br />
noodzakelijk voor de afname zal het gekochte<br />
paard door <strong>DSHS</strong> worden weggehaald en<br />
worden gestald voor rekening en risico van<br />
de koper. De koper is in dat geval verplicht alle<br />
aanvullende kosten, waaronder in ieder geval<br />
de stallingskosten, aan <strong>DSHS</strong> te vergoeden.<br />
6. Tekortkomingen<br />
(waaronder stalondeugden)<br />
6.1 Indien een koper van oordeel is dat het gekochte<br />
paard na feitelijke levering niet aan<br />
de overeenkomst beantwoordt, kan de koper<br />
hierop geen beroep meer doen indien hij niet<br />
binnen drie weken na ontdekking de verkoper<br />
(met kopie aan <strong>DSHS</strong>) daarvan in kennis<br />
heeft gesteld per aangetekende brief.<br />
5.2 Ownership of the purchased horse passes<br />
to the buyer at the time of release as defined<br />
in Article 5.3 of these terms and conditions,<br />
but not before the buyer has settled<br />
the full purchase amount and any other<br />
amounts due to <strong>DSHS</strong> resulting from noncompliance.<br />
5.3 The buyer is obliged to take possession<br />
of the purchased horse at the place and<br />
time as specified by <strong>DSHS</strong>, or in the absence<br />
thereof, within the term defined<br />
in the auction catalogue and upon presentation<br />
of a valid identity document, if<br />
requested by <strong>DSHS</strong>. Delivery of the purchased<br />
horse takes place by means of its<br />
release. Release consists of collection of<br />
the purchased horse by the buyer. Release<br />
may only take place after settlement of the<br />
purchase price in full and any other amount<br />
due by the buyer. If the buyer should refuse<br />
release or if he/she should fail to provide<br />
information or instructions required for the<br />
release, <strong>DSHS</strong> shall remove the purchased<br />
horse and keep it in stables at the expense<br />
and risk of the buyer. The buyer shall then<br />
be obliged to compensate <strong>DSHS</strong> for any additional<br />
costs incurred, including stabling<br />
costs in any event.<br />
6. Shortcomings (including stable vices)<br />
6.1 If a buyer finds that the horse purchased<br />
does not conform to the contract description<br />
after actual delivery, the buyer shall not<br />
be entitled to any recourse if the seller has<br />
not been informed thereof by registered letter<br />
within three weeks after the discovery<br />
(with a copy to <strong>DSHS</strong>).<br />
6.2 The seller warrants, unless notified of such<br />
prior to the sale, that the horse purchased<br />

6.2 Verkoper staat ervoor in dat het door de<br />
koper gekochte paard, tenzij voorafgaand<br />
aan de verkoop meegedeeld, niet lijdt aan<br />
de stalgebreken luchtzuigen, systematisch<br />
weven of kribbebijten en wel gedurende een<br />
periode van 2x 24 uur na feitelijke aflevering<br />
aan de koper.<br />
6.3 Indien een dierenarts, geregistreerd als keuringsdierenarts<br />
voor paarden of paardendierenarts,<br />
schriftelijk meedeelt dat één van de<br />
in artikel 6.2 genoemde stalgebreken naar<br />
zijn deskundig oordeel bestond vóór de datum<br />
feitelijke aflevering, heeft de koper het<br />
recht de koopovereenkomst te ontbinden<br />
met alle daaraan verbonden gevolgen.<br />
7. Geschillen<br />
7.1 Alle geschillen - daaronder begrepen die, welke<br />
slechts door één der partijen als zodanig<br />
worden beschouwd - welke naar aanleiding<br />
van de koopovereenkomst gesloten op de<br />
veiling danwel naar aanleiding van deze veilingvoorwaarden<br />
met <strong>DSHS</strong> ontstaan, worden<br />
beslecht door NAI-arbitrage (Nederlands<br />
Arbitrage Instituut te Rotterdam), danwel in<br />
het geval de koper consument is, op diens<br />
verzoek overeenkomstig het Burgerlijk<br />
Wetboek, door de gewone burgerlijke rechter,<br />
in welk geval in eerste aanleg uitsluitend de<br />
Rechtbank Limburg bevoegd is.<br />
7.2 Indien de verkoper of <strong>DSHS</strong> een procedure<br />
aanhangig wil maken, zal zij indien de koper<br />
consument is, hem/haar gedurende een<br />
maand in de gelegenheid stellen schriftelijk<br />
zijn/haar keuze als bedoeld in artikel 7.1<br />
hiervoor, kenbaar te maken. In geval van een<br />
spoedeisend belang (kort geding) kan de verkoper<br />
(casu quo <strong>DSHS</strong>) de termijn bekorten<br />
tot vijf werkdagen.<br />

6.3 If a veterinarian, registered as an inspection<br />

actual delivery, the buyer shall be entitled to<br />
terminate the purchase agreement with all<br />
resulting consequences.<br />
7. Disputes<br />
7.1 Any disputes with <strong>DSHS</strong> - including those<br />
that are considered as such by only one<br />
party - resulting from the purchase agreement<br />
concluded at the auction or following<br />
from these auction terms and conditions,<br />
shall be settled by NAI Arbitration (Dutch<br />
Arbitration Institute in Rotterdam), or if the<br />
buyer is a consumer as defined in the Dutch<br />
Civil Code, in an ordinary civil court upon his/<br />
her request, in which case only the Court of<br />
First Instance in Limburg shall be entitled to<br />
rule on the matter.<br />
7.2 If the seller or <strong>DSHS</strong> intends to file proceedings<br />
and if the buyer is considered to be a<br />
consumer, he/she shall be given the opportunity<br />
to announce its decision pertaining to<br />
Paragraph 7.1 in writing within a period of<br />
one month. In the event of an urgent matter<br />
(summary procedure), the seller (casu quo<br />
<strong>DSHS</strong>) may decide to shorten that period to<br />
five business days.<br />
7.3 In the event of a continuing dispute, <strong>DSHS</strong><br />
may decide to initiate mediation between<br />
the buyer and the seller, at its own expenses<br />

7.3 Steeds zal <strong>DSHS</strong>, ingeval sprake is van een<br />
blijvend geschil, op eigen titel bemiddeling<br />
tussen koper en verkoper initiëren (mediation)<br />
al dan niet, naar haar keuze, op haar<br />
kosten. Gekozen kan worden een dergelijke<br />
mediation te laten plaatsvinden overeenkomstig<br />
het NAI-mediationreglement.<br />
