Graduation Project; Construction and management of affordable and sustainable accommodation for
University students on an area of 50 square meters. Project included bidding, preparation of contracts,
architectural drawing of the design, cost estimation of the project, work breakdown schedule and
preparation of a Health and Safety Plan.

EXPERIENCE

SITE & DESIGN ENGINEERING INTERN, (DROP DOT PTY (LTD), SOUTH AFRICA)
Collaborated with Professional Engineers on the Rustenburg Rapid Transport (RRT) project, which involved the
design and construction of bus stations in Rustenburg. Duties included:
Capturing each structure’s dimensions after construction and comparing these with shop design drawings to
confirm accuracy and identify any construction defects
Developing design drawings of the structural columns of each station by hand and using Prokon Software
Assisting with quantity and quality surveying of construction works

ENGINEERING INTERN, (DROP DOT PTY (LTD), SOUTH AFRICA)
Provided assistance on the Rustenburg Rapid Transport (RRT) project. This section of work involved the construction
of pavement block finished roads in the mining towns of Seraleng and Chaneng in Rustenburg. Duties included:
Carrying out regular site inspections to evaluate contractor’s work and confirming if the contracted work is
at par with the schedule, contract requirements and quality
Writing weekly progress reports and updating site diaries on scope of work carried out as well as resources
allocated such as labor and materials

ENGINEERING STUDENT INTERN, (HAZEN ENGINEERING, ZIMBABWE)
The engineering internship was centered around a Sewer Rehabilitation Project for the Chitungwiza Town in
Zimbabwe, with the following tasks achieved:
Modelled the sewerage network of the project area using MicroStation and AutoCAD
Performed regular site inspection of the sewerage network system and assessed the condition of manholes
(utility holes) and sewerage connections
Drafted daily site reports detailing which manholes were opened, inspected and identified which for urgent
maintenance, cleaning or repairing
