TVC’28 <strong>Jeugdtoernooi</strong> <strong>2011</strong>
Internationaal D-Junioren Toernooi Dear football friends and girlfriends, Being the chairmen of TVC’28 we wish you all a warm welcome to our beautiful sports complex ‘De Grote Moat’ in Tubbergen. Today the fifth edition of the international D-junior football tournament does take place. The organization once again succeeded to put together a nice list of international participants. Seven Dutch Regional Youth Football Academies (RJO’s) are present: Sparta Rotterdam, Vitesse/AGOVV, ADO Den Haag, FC Twente, FC Utrecht, FC Groningen/ Cambuur and SC Heerenveen/Emmen. In addition the professional clubs FC Zwolle and De Graafschap participate. The international contribution consists of five clubs, namely KV Mechelen and Lierse SK from Belgium, Randers FC and Viborg FF from Denmark and Arminia Bielefeld from Germany. Once again a combined team of D-players from all other clubs in the community of Tubbergen will participate and of course the D1 team of TVC’28 is also present. The tournament is highly appreciated in the Netherlands, being confirmed by many teams taking part every year. The development of youth players thrives best by playing under the resistance of good opponents. At the moment of writing this foreword, the Netherlands were on top of the FIFA world ranking, in front of countries like World Champion Spain, Brazil, Germany, Italy, England and Argentina, just naming a few leading countries. One of the main reasons for the Netherlands being listed first could be the presence of excellent youth football academies in our country. Talents are being scouted in an early stage and offered perfect training conditions at as well amateur clubs as professional football academies. For every youngster it is a dream to become a professional football player, and if possible also to represent the Dutch national team. Sometimes dreams come true! Today we might look at one or more future internationals in the course of which this tournament will have contributed slightly to the development of that player. ‘The wish certainly is father to the thought’. Undoubtedly, today we will witness many exciting matches, technically performed on a high level. It will be again on the cutting edge of sports, teams fiercely competing for the honor of being the successor of former winners FC Utrecht, Feyenoord, AZ and Lierse SK.
