Description<br />
<strong>Flor</strong>-Opal <strong>Varnish</strong> <strong>White</strong> is a flavored, xylitol-sweetened 5% sodium fluoride in a<br />
resin carrier delivered in a .5ml unit-dose syringe-to-syringe mixing system.<br />
Indications for Use<br />
<strong>Flor</strong>-Opal <strong>Varnish</strong> <strong>White</strong> is 5% sodium fluoride in a varnish carrier which<br />
produces a mechanical/chemical occlusion of the dentinal tubules in the<br />
treatment of tooth hypersensitivity.<br />
Directions for Use<br />
1. Thoroughly brush teeth or rubber cup polish prior to placement.<br />
2. With mixing syringes connected, push <strong>Flor</strong>-Opal <strong>Varnish</strong> <strong>White</strong> back and forth<br />
from syringe to syringe, at least 5 times, finishing with varnish in the LABELED<br />
syringe.<br />
3. Disconnect syringes and securely attach FX Flex tip.<br />
4. Verify flow prior to applying intraorally.<br />
5. Lightly dry area to be treated.<br />
6. Apply a thin smooth layer to dry tooth using a painting motion.<br />
NOTE: For access, the FX Flex tip may be bent up to 90˚, if needed.<br />
7. Allow cheeks, lips and saliva to contact teeth. <strong>Varnish</strong> hardens on contact with<br />
saliva.<br />
NOTE: Patients should avoid brushing and chewing hard foods 4-6 hours after<br />
treatment. <strong>Flor</strong>-Opal <strong>Varnish</strong> <strong>White</strong> will begin to flake off with each brushing.<br />
