THE + MOST + ADJETIVO<br />
Ex.: Carol is the most beautiful of the class.<br />
Obs: Caso haja advérbio em vez de adjetivo, utilizaremos o mesmo esquema utilizado<br />
para os <strong>adjetivos</strong> analíticos (grandes), tanto no comparativo de superioridade como no<br />
superlativo, com exceção dos advérbios monossilábicos. Os advérbios que<br />
possuem uma única sílaba apresentam a mesma forma que os <strong>adjetivos</strong> sintéticos<br />
(pequenos):<br />
Ex.: Jose speaks more quickly than his friend.<br />
Ex.: She arrived sooner than expected.<br />
7) CASOS IRREGULARES<br />
Alguns casos fogem à regra, pois modificam por completo o seu radical.<br />
Ex.: Good – no comparativo de superioridade, ele não irá ficar “gooder”, como se<br />
imaginava, mas o correto é “better” (than). E o superlativo é “the best”.<br />
Da mesma forma teremos:<br />
Bad Worse (than) The worst<br />
Little Less (than) The least<br />
Far Farther/further (than) The farthest/furthest<br />
Much/many More (than) The most
