Entomology. Taxonomy, distribution, phylogeny and zoogeography of representatives
of (mainly) Orders Microcoryphia, Zygentoma (thysanurans, worldwide) and
Lepidoptera (Papilionoidea, Hesperioidea, Sphingoidea and Bombycoidea – butterflies
and moths mainly of Africa – always in collaboration)
Present research interests
Taxonomy, evolution and corology of thysanurans from St. Helena Island, southern
Arabia (Arab Emirates), Africa and Brazil; and of butterflies and moths mainly from
Angola, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé e Príncipe. Biodiversity of Angola. Faunas of
Palaearctic Region, Portugal and Spain of both, Microcoryphia and Zygentoma
