Entomology. Taxonomy, distribution, phylogeny and zoogeography of representatives<br />
of (mainly) Orders Microcoryphia, Zygentoma (thysanurans, worldwide) and<br />
Lepidoptera (Papilionoidea, Hesperioidea, Sphingoidea and Bombycoidea – butterflies<br />
and moths mainly of Africa – always in collaboration)<br />
Present research interests<br />
Taxonomy, evolution and corology of thysanurans from St. Helena Island, southern<br />
Arabia (Arab Emirates), Africa and Brazil; and of butterflies and moths mainly from<br />
Angola, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé e Príncipe. Biodiversity of Angola. Faunas of<br />
Palaearctic Region, Portugal and Spain of both, Microcoryphia and Zygentoma<br />
