Agricultura de precisão
www.abimaq.org.br/csmia
A tecnologia agrícola para
os trópicos, desenvolvida e
praticada no Brasil, já oferece
ao mundo exemplos importantes
de como produzir
de forma sustentável. Práticas
de agricultura de baixo
carbono como o plantio
direto, a integração lavourapecuária
e floresta e a agricultura
A agricultura
de precisão também está incorporada aos
equipamentos nacionais. E há que se destacar
o magnífico programa de financiamento ABC
que trata da recuperação de áreas degradadas
com agricultura de baixa emissão de carbono,
sustentado pelas pesquisas da Embrapa, Empresa
Brasileira de Pesquisa Agrícola, no sistema
Agricultural technology for the tropics, developed
and practiced in Brazil, already offers to the world
important examples of how to produce sustainably.
Agricultural Practices of low carbon, tillage, crop-livestock,
forest and precision agriculture are in evidence.
All of them consolidated by the offers of machinery
and agricultural implements a developed pioneering
way by Brazilian manufacturers. The Tillage was only
possible due to the response of our manufacturers
who were able to meet the demand of rural producers
with implements suitable for the practice.
The iLPF, a Brazilian creation, counts on the participation
of many producers. The industry, in turn,
also carefully notes the growth of this technique to
develop and implement multifunction machines
that meet the needs of this innovative method. The
precision farming is also incorporated to the national
equipments. And we have to highlight the magnificent
funding program ABC, which treats the restoration
of degraded areas with farming low-carbon,
supported by research at Embrapa, the Brazilian
garantir a sustentabilidade ambiental.
the occurrence of major natural factors within
the property. Your goal is to optimize profit and
ensuring environmental sustainability. In Brazil,
this practice began in mid-1995 with the import
of machines equipped with yield monitors.
O mercado brasileiro de máquinas e implementos
já oferece máquinas com alta tecnologia
embarcada, capazes de informar até as
necessidades na aplicação de insumos. E a
this process. According to the experts, productivity
increases in ag precision is over 30%.
The Brazilian market for implements and machinery
already offers products with high-tech
embedded, able to report to the needs of the
application of inputs. Each year more companies
in the industry have incorporated their
products to the AP. The result is the reduction of
environmental impacts by the still unavoidable
use of synthetic inputs for increasing productivity.
Sistema de integração Lavoura-Pecuária-
Floresta é alternativa econômica e
sustentável para o mundo tropical
nistrador da Santa Brígida. O sistema reduz a
hectare cultivado. Idealizador do iLPF, o pesquisador
Our things
System
integration Crop-Livestock-
Forest is sustainable and economical
alternative to the tropical world.
Founded in Brazil, the integration Crop-
Livestock-forest (iLPF), is one of the most important
techniques for sustainable agricultural
production, it contributes in reducing the pressure
for deforestation, diversifies the income
of farmers and reduces emissions of greenhouse.
In the same area can be cultivated
grains, along with Brachiaria and deployment
of eucalyptus tracks or another forest essence.
After harvest, the area shall be used for grazing
cattle. Thus, the grain paid by the investment
in pasture and also avoids the cost of
the animal in confinement. Furthermore, the
grass cover improves the soil organic matter
and ensures more organic material. Eucalyptus,
in turn, allows cutting from the sixth year,
generating profits of $ 1000 per hectare. Thus,
the system provides nine “crops” in six years,
in the same area: two of grains, six of oxen
Coisa nossa
renda do produtor rural e diminui as emissões
Realizada
a colheita, a área passa a ser utilizada aceitou. Resultado: recuperação de pastos,
época a técnica não integrava a floresta. Ela
Lavoura-Pecuária-Floresta.
admiand
a wooden one, without the need for deforestation.
It was at Fazenda Santa Brigida, in
the municipality of Ipameri (GO),that the iLPF,
ever tested elsewhere, had its consolidation.
In 2006, the property owner wanted to sell
their lands, degraded, but was advised by EM-
BRAPA to keep them and adopt the system
Crop-Livestock. At the time the technique was
not part of the forest. The owner accepted the
suggestion. Results: recovery of pastures, land
and productivity.
Today, the farm has adopted the consortium
completion: Crop-Livestock-Forest. At 600
hectares, production is 35 thousand bags of
corn, 20 000 soybeans and 550 fattening cattle
grazing, and eucalyptus used to generate
energy. “The productivity achieved in six years
is equivalent to properties with more than 10
years,” confirms Anábio Ribeiro, administrator
of Santa Brígida Farm. The system reduces
the pressure for deforestation, offering considerable
increase in the production of grain,
meat and wood per hectare. Creator of iLPF,
the Embrapa researcher John Kluthcouski says
that the model applies to any type of producer,
large or small. “It has economic advantages,
social and environmental diversifications and
has almost zero risk. “It also ensures that the
iLPF opens a niche market for the manufacture
of agricultural machinery and implements.
“Who wants more market share should observe
which kind of improvements we need,”
he advises. Brazil has already understood that
they may be wasting their natural resources
and must adopt a model of sustainable exploitation.
In agriculture, the iLPF is undoubtedly a
good example. “Integration is the tool we have
for the tropical world,” says John
Plantio direto
Simples e eficaz
Sistema de plantio desenvolvido nos EUA
e aperfeiçoado no Brasil preserva o solo e
assegura maior produtividade
garantindo a proteção do solo. Outra vantagem é a retenção
www.abimaq.org.br/csmia
Simple and effective
Planting system developed in United States
and refined in Brazil preserves the soil and
ensures higher productivity
The No-Tillage on straw or just Tillage (PD) is a technique introduced
in Southern Brazil, in the 1970s, which today accounts for
70% of grain production in the country. It is a system of soil management
and crop. It is used to lessen the impacts of agriculture
and machinery, increase crop yields and protect the environment.
Unlike the traditional system of cultivation, where every year
we must make a new plow and harrow, turning over and discovering
the soil, in PD, straw and crop residues are retained on the
surface, ensuring the soil protection. Another advantage is retention
of carbon in the soil and best weed control.
A major contributor to the introduction of the system in Brazil
is the producer Herbert Bartz, from the city of Rolândia (PR). He
said that, in the 1970s, erosion on your property and lands in
Brazil in general, threatened to cripple agriculture, so he decided
to study the issue. He found that in England and the United
States a technique existed of minimum tillage. In Brazil, it would
be called Tillage.
By deploying the practice on his farm, he was called crazy.
After numerous attempts, the manufacturer realized that the
new system had consumed less diesel. “Instead of spending ten
thousand liters of diesel, we spend 3000 to 3500 liters. It was a
fantastic reduction, “recalls Bartz.
Producers have adopted the technique. Brazilian manufacturers
in turn and demanded by them, developed what today are considered
the best machinery and implements, suitable for the system.
Today, Brazil has an area of 32 million hectares of PD, which annually
stocks something like 16 million tons of carbon that would
be issued if the Brazilian equipments did not exist. The country
became an agricultural powerhouse and world reference in tillage.
