That’s when <strong>BIC</strong> ® ’s TerraCycle partnership comes into play: Europe’s first recycling<br />
program for used writing instruments. Collected in seven countries, in schools and<br />
offices, ball pens, felt pens, markers, erasable pens and highlighters are being<br />
recycled — a happy end for more than 20 million used-up writing instruments.<br />

Taking a step forward in the writing instruments<br />
collection programme launched in March 2011 with<br />
TerraCycle, <strong>BIC</strong> ® is starting a new chapter to enter<br />
the circular economy. In partnership with Plas Eco,<br />
a French company which specialises in the design,<br />
manufacture and supply of outdoor furniture, <strong>BIC</strong> ® has<br />
created the first range of outdoor furniture made in<br />
France from recycled pens.<br />
