I started photography watching my father shooting with his Leica around the end of the 50's in our farm

in Brasil.

His intelligence, delicacy and subtlety taught me to approach situations with sharp precision.

There was also and mainly lots of love and passion between us. Consequently, I am able to feel the pain

and disgrace of people growing without love and lost in abandonment.

Clearly, for all of us artists, what we capture with the camera, or the tunes we listen to distantly, or the the

forms we look for in a canvas, are all deep feelings navigating in our unconscious mind craving to be

revealed.

I would say, nowadays, that my first artistic move that resulted in a book, expositions and many awards,

called "THE DROP AND THE DOT" has expressed this sublime love in eternal b&w scenes, timeless,

suspended, divine and painful... as if saying " The love I had once do not belong to this planet".

Once in Africa, I was supposed to depict the SOUL of Angola. I merged as deeply as I could into the

emotional connections with those loving souls. It was so impactful that I spent 8 months without ever

touching my camera again.

Those eyes, their strength, their values... touched me and changed me in deep levels.

The platonic reference of love once expressed became the cruel revelation of real abandonment, the

desperate claim of love and protection with which I was so afraid to deal with.

What do I look for in a shot?

Connection. Embracing. Humanity in its full force.

I usually take hundreds of shots of a situation... really fast, moving around the subjects intensively... But I

do feel... under my skin... when the real connection is made. I feel a strong energy discharge...

This is what makes me feel alive in the creative path... what comes in the "net" should surprise me, and

teach me about my inner self and my unconscious

My work in Africa will result in a book named ALMA (meaning SOUL)

My next move will be called something around "FOR THOSE WHO PRAY FOR US".

I will be heading to the Himalayas very soon, I hope to immerse myself in the monasteries... in discipline,

in faith...

This place is called a LAVRA.

It is her piece of land, where she works and from where she earns her living. What was most amazing was

that she WAS SO PROUD OF HER DAUGHTER AND HER LAND, SHE WAS EXHIBITING HER POWER AND

FORTUNE TO ME.

She was the representation of the WOMEN 'S POWER ON EARTH.

My name is Filipe Miranda and I am a Street Photographer.

My relationship with photography has been going on since I was a teenager, where I always liked to take

pictures with the small compacts I had on family holidays, but nothing more, I always had a special taste

for black & white photographs, which made me buy a cell phone with a monochromatic lens and that led

me to meet a group of friends passionate about mobile photography that made me again arouse my

passion for photography.

Passion that started to be an almost daily hobby.

I purchased a Fuji X-T3 that is my companion and that I can no longer leave home without her company.

I have no training in photography, I am self-taught. Everything I do I learn essentially to see photography,

a lot of photography and not the names of photographers, because for me a good photograph is one that

I look at and like what I am seeing, I have no idols or masters, I do have some photographers that I follow

and I like to appreciate their work.

Although I do a little bit of everything, I started to gain a greater passion for street photography, to the

point that my portfolio today consists practically of black & white street photography.

He was born on September 11, 1971, in Évora - Portugal.

Professional banker, from Crédito Agrícola Entre Tejo e Sado, his hobby is photography that allows me to

discover the world and reveal the north of Portugal to the south, capturing the beauty of nature.

In a scenario where the predominant ones are water, light and color, they represent the backdrop of your

photography, passionate about the landscape, inspired by the light, the sunrise, the end of the day, these

are your sources of inspiration.

It usually says “if a photograph is worth a thousand words” a caption reveals, a simple memory, a journey,

an adventure, with the function of placing us not only in the image, but in all the magic it captured with

its lens.

Numerous projects involved participation in books and magazines, exhibitions and photographic trips,

everything happened, many times without the notion as such occurring.

I hope to be able to take trips again, personal and planned in groups, allowing other photographers to

get to know my world. PATAGONIA - The Journey! The next big project.

The best advice you can give to an aspiring landscape photographer: "Never give up on a photograph

that you have in mind. Always try to make only one photograph, but the best in the place."

Dariusz Klimczak (1967, Sieradz, Poland) - a photographer since more than 30 years. He creates surreal

photomontages on the basis of his own photos. He prefers black and white square forms, but also uses

the colour. An author of 21 individual exhibitions (Poland, Netherlands, Egypt, Belgium, Colombia,

England).

In his works he uses symbols and archetypes.

Klimczak's aim is to provoke the viewer to think or smile. His private ambition is to create a universal

language, a kind of visual esperanto, which would be understood all over the world.

A composer and a producer of an album „Frimagination” by Climax Indigo. Author of 2 books of

aphorisms („Aforyzjaki”, „Klocki ego”).

Grand Prix winner of prestigious Lec aphoristic competition (Nowy Targ, 2005).

He used to be a painter, a journalist and a drummer in a rock band. A father of two daughters - Nina

(2007) and Zoja (2013).
