Tagore
Tagore var filosof, poet och författare som
hade bengaliska, engelska och sanskrit som
sina språk.
Han tyckte att skolan i det koloniala Indien
var tråkig och avbröt skolgången för att i stället
få skolning hemma.
År 1921 startade han, vid 63 års ålder, en
hemskola då han menade att kreativt lärande
förutsätter att eleverna själva ska få välja
vilka ämnen de ska studera. Utbildning ska
ske i harmoni med allt existerande.
Utbildning ska ske på modersmålet för att ge
en allsidig fostran och kunskap.
Tagore talade också om den inre kompetensen
hos eleven och om rytmen i livet.
Gandhi talade om att eleverna ska ta avstånd
från det som är dåligt och från ondskan och
han talade om livets rytm.

I varje ny människa börjar mänskligheten på

för att skapa den bästa
miljön för barnen och
bemöta dem på bästa
sätt för att göra det möjligt
för dem att växa
upp med kärlek.
De vuxna försöker
iaktta sin omgivning
och anpassa sig till den medan barnen formas
av själva anpassningen.
Maria Montessori var ett geni när det gällde
att upptäcka vad barnen behövde.
– We must have exellence in our thoughts and
in our actions as well as in our character and
personality.
– First of all, we need to work together for
the children to make a higher society.
Secondly, we must better ourselves to be able
to do that.

14.00 –15.00 Registration
15.00 –18.00 Patricia Wallner will speak about The social capacities of children from
birth to the age of three years.
18.15–19.00 Annual General Meeting of the AMI MONTESSORI ALUMNI SWEDEN
(All members are welcome)
19.30 – Dinner complementary to the participants
Saturday
9.00 – 10.15 Patricia Wallner will continue to speak of the child from three to about
five years, and the transition from Infant Community to Primary Classroom.
10.15 – 10.45 Break
10.45 – 12.00 Allyn Travis will take us through the transition of the child from the
First to the Second Plane of Development
12.00 – 13.00 Lunch
13.00 – 16.00 Allyn Travis speaks about the Moral and Spritual development ocf the
Elementary child.
There will be opportunity for asking questions at every lecture.
You are welcome to prepare questions in writing about specific issues or
problems that you want to be adressed
There will be small breaks when needed and some refreshments offered.
We also need to know if there is any special food requirements.
