sahip olduklarının altını çiziyor.
Sayın Güler, 31 milyar dolarlık dünya
üretim ve ihracat sıralamasında 14. olan
Türkiye’nin, kısa zamanda bu konuda
dünyada ilk 3 ülke arasına girebileceğine
inanıyor. Bu amaçla Türkiye’nin dünya hit
listelerinin başında olması için IBIA’yı hayata
geçirdiklerini de kaydeden Başkan
Güler, IBIA’nın en önemli amacının sektörü
bir araya getirmek ve iş adamlarımızın

World bedding production, together with
its sub-sectors, has an important annual
potential of 40 billion dollars. 30 billion dollars
of this is realized by 30 countries. According
to IBIA President Güler, the sector
makes an important economic contribution
due to the export figures it brings to Turkey.
It also has great potential for employment.
Explaining that the bedding industry
in Turkey has an important place in the
world ranking, President Güler states that
when the numerical size of the industry is
considered, they are faced with a very bright
picture. Emphasizing that the production
of sectoral companies in our country
is 3 billion dollars and their exports are 2
billion dollars, President Güler underlines
that they have a huge employment of 25
thousand people. Mr. Güler believes that
Turkey, which is 14th in the world production
and export ranking of 31 billion dollars,
can become one of the top 3 countries in
the world in a short time. Noting that they
have implemented IBIA for this purpose, in
order for Turkey to be at the top of the world
hit lists, President Güler states that the
most important aim of IBIA is to bring the
industry together and increase the synergy
between our businessmen. He emphasizes
that another important goal is the IBIA
EXPO 2022 Fair, whose organization continues
to increase the commercial activities

Pandemi sonrası 2022’ye fuarlarını iptal
etmeden giren Türk Fuarcılık sektörü
bunun karşılığını fazlası ile alıyor.
Avrupa’daki birçok firma fuarlarını tehir
etmişken, tehir ettiği tarihte bile çok küçük
fuarlar yapabilirken, Çin fuarlarına

The Turkish Fair Organization sector, which
entered 2022 without canceling its fairs
after the pandemic, is getting a lot in return
for this. While Europe postponed many of
its fairs and could hold very small fairs even
on the date it was postponed, it was not
technically possible to attend Chinese fairs,
and in 2022, no fair was canceled or
postponed in Turkey. The adventure that
started with the Istanbul Furniture Fair in
January 2022 continues at full speed. Ümit

Yeni stratejiler ve bakış açılarıyla yatak teknoloji
ve ham madde üreticilerimizin ciddi
çalışma ve girişimleri ile son yıllarda 5 milyar
dolar gibi ürün ve teknolojiyi yurt dışından
gelmesini önlendiğini de hatırlatan
Başkan Güler, bu gelişmelerle, dövizimizin
yurt dışına çıkmasının da engellendiğini
belirtiyor.
Türkiye, Çin’den Sonra İkinci
Sektörde 3 milyar dolarlık üretimi olan Türkiye’nin,
2.2 milyarlık ihracatı ile Çin Halk
Cumhuriyeti’nden sonra dünyada ikinci
derecede yatak üreticilerine tedarikçi ülkesi
seviyesine ulaştığı da ifade eden Başkan
Güler, 25 bin kişiden fazla istihdam ile
de gurur duyduklarını söylüyor.
Türkiye genelindeki ilk bin ihracatçı arasında
IBIA dernek üyelerinden 8 firmanın
olduğunu ve 4 üyelerinin daha seneye ilk
bin ihracatçı arasına gireceğine inandıklarını
da kaydeden Güler, Türkiye’de yatak
üreticilerinin son 10 yılda ciddi bir ivme
yakalayarak, % 512 büyüme ile 256 milyon
dolar ihracata ulaşmış olmalarından
dolayı büyük mutluluk duyduklarını da
söylemeden geçemiyor. Başkan Güler’i
sevindiren bir başka önemli nokta ise yatak

Konuyla ilgili olarak bir kıyaslama yapan
IBIA Derneği Başkanı Güler, Çin Halk
Cumhuriyeti üretiminin % 8.6 sini (800
milyon dolar) ihraç ederek en fazla ihracat
yapan ülke pozisyonda. Polonya % 89 (
715 milyon dolarlık) ihracat ederek ikinci
sırada yer alırken, Vietnam %91.7 ( 508
milyon dolar) ihraç ederek üçüncü sırada.
Endonezya %88.7 ( 300milyon dolar ) ihracatı
ile dördüncü, Türkiye ise üretiminin
%62.7’lik ( 256 milyon dolarlık) ihracatı ile
5’inci sırada yer alıyor. Yatak ihracatımızın
% 42.3’sini ABD, % 29’unu AB ülkelerine
ve % 7.9’unu ise İngiltere’ye yapıyoruz.
Ülke Olarak Fırsatları Değerlendireceğiz
Yatak yan sanayi ve teknolojileri sektörü
olarak pandemi döneminde çok yoğun bir
çalışma geçirdiklerini de anlatan Başkan
Güler, ‘’Şimdi bu yoğunluğun arkasından
gelen bir durgunluk var ama bunun çok
uzun süreceğini düşünmüyorum. Sektör
yine yüksek bir ivme ile büyümeye devam
edecektir. Türkiye olarak çok avantajlarımız
var. Dünyada Çin’den sonra en büyük
oyunculardan biriyiz. Ülke olarak birçok
konuda avantajlıyız. Coğrafi pozisyonumuzdan
kaynaklanan navlun masrafları,
üretkenlik, inovatiflik, ayrıca ürün kalite çeşitliliği
ve buna dayalı fiyat performansları
gibi öne çıkan özelliklerimiz var. En önemli
unsurlardan biri de aramızda çok az sektörde
görülebilecek sinerji ve dostluk ilişkilerimiz.

that IBIA EXPO 2022 Fair will open its doors
to industry professionals with the participation
of over 300 leading companies
and manufacturers, will host thousands
of visitors from target buyer countries at
Istanbul Expo Center on 06-09 October
2022 says that with IBIA EXPO, its members
will add excitement and synergy to
the dynamism of the industry by establishing
new B2B commercial relations with
many new bedding manufacturers in the
sector together with their existing customers.
3 Billion Dollars of Exports, 35
Thousand Employment Targets in
2023
Explaining that they aim to increase the
production of 3 billion dollars to 4 billion
dollars and their exports to 2 billion dollars
by the end of 2023, President Güler also
states that they believe that the employment
size of 25 thousand people will easily
increase to 35 thousand people.
Reminding that the serious efforts and
initiatives of our bedding technology and
raw material producers with new strategies
and perspectives, 5 billion dollars of
products and technology have been prevented
from coming from abroad in recent
years, President Güler states that with
these developments, our foreign currency
is also prevented from going abroad.
Turkey is the Second After China
Expressing that Turkey, which has a production
of 3 billion dollars in the sector,
has reached the level of the second-degree
supplier country to bedding producers
in the world, after the People’s Republic
of China, with its 2.2 billion exports,
President Güler says that they are proud
of their employment of more than 25
thousand people. Noting that there are
8 companies from the IBIA association
members among the first thousand
exporters in Turkey, Güler also stated that
they believe that 4 more members will be
among the top thousand exporters next
year and also states that they are very
happy that bedding producers in Turkey
have achieved a serious acceleration in
the last 10 years and have reached 256
million dollars in exports with a growth of
51%. Another important point that pleases
President Güler is that as bedding
technologies and component manufacturers,
we are in the second best position
in the world after China. In addition,
as Turkey, we have the title of being the
country that shows the highest participation
and interest in all international sectoral
fairs after the number of participants in
the host country, which draws attention
as our internationally important privileges
in the sector.
Making a comparison on the subject, IBIA
Association President Güler said that the
People’s Republic of China is the country
with the highest export by exporting 8.6%
(800 million dollars) of its production. Poland
ranks second with 89% (715 million
dollars) exports, while Vietnam ranks third
with 91.7% (508 million dollars). Indonesia
ranks fourth with 88.7% (300 million
dollars) exports, while Turkey ranks 5th
with 62.7% (256 million dollars) of its production.
We make 42.3% of our bedding
exports to the USA, 29% to EU countries
and 7.9% to the UK..
As a Country, We Will Evaluate
Opportunities
Explaining that as the Bedding sub-industry
and technologies sector, they had
a very intense working period during the
pandemic period, President Güler said:
“Now there is a recession following this
intensity, but I don’t think it will last very
long. The sector will continue to grow with
a high momentum. As Turkey, we have
many advantages. We are one of the biggest
players in the world after China. As a
country, we are advantageous in many aspects.
We have prominent features such
as freight costs arising from our geographical
position, productivity, innovation, as
well as product quality diversity and price
performances based on this. One of the
most important factors is our synergy and
friendship relations, which can be seen in
very few sectors. With the unifying mission
of IBIA and the cooperation between
us, we aim to reach all customers in the
world markets and dominate the market
with all layers, not just a few of the bedding
compounds used in the world.’’
Emphasizing that they believe that they
will reach a much wider audience by
sharing their international relations and
customer portfolios with all members,
President Güler, states that by crowning
these advantages with the IBIA EXPO
2022 fair, they aim to reach more market
share around the world by increasing the
interest in bedding component and technology
manufacturers in Turkey. The President
also underlines that the success of
IBIA EXPO 2022 will be reflected in the
export rate, and that the sector will reach
an export figure of 3 billion dollars in
2023.

başında geliyoruz. 2 sene cepten
yedik ve ayakta kalmaya gayret ettik.
Şükür ki 2022’ye sıhhatle ulaştık
ve bu üyelerimizin hiç biri fuarını
iptal etmedi. Çok zor şartlarda da
olsa fuarlarını yaptılar. İnanılmaz ilgi
gördüler. Henüz 2022 bitmedi, daha
birçok fuarımız var. Bunlardan biri
de bizim gözbebeğimiz IBIA EXPO
2022. 6-9 Ekim tarihlerinde yapacağımız
fuarda satacak bir m2 yerimiz
kalmadı. İnanılmaz bir ilgi görüyoruz.
İstanbul’un cazibesinin rüzgârını da
arkamıza alarak yatak sektörünü
Ekim’de İstanbul’da buluşturacağız.
Bu Türk fuarcılık sektörünün başarısı
olacak…”

made statements in support of this;
“During the pandemic that lasted for
two years, we could not hold the fairs,
and in the rare fairs we held, we
could not include enough participants
in our fairs due to health and financial
reasons. Many countries closed their
borders, flights were not possible.
We are one of the sectors most affected
by the pandemic. For 2 years,
we spent our savings and tried to
survive. Thankfully, we reached 2022
safely and none of these members
canceled their fair. They held their fairs,
albeit in very difficult conditions.
They got incredible attention. 2022
is not over yet, we have many more
fairs. One of them is IBIA EXPO 2022,

COUNTDOWN STARTED AT IBIA EXPO 2022
6-9 Ekim tarihlerinde düzenlenmesi planlanan Türkiye ve dünyadan pek çok yatak endüstrisi firmasını ziyaretçilerle
buluşturmayı hedefleyen IBIA EXPO 2022 Fuarı için geri sayım başladı.

Yatak bileşenleri üzerine üretim
yapan pek çok aktörü Amerika’dan,

bir ziyaretçi yelpazesiyle buluşturacak
olan IBIA EXPO 2022 Fuarı,
6-9 Ekim tarihlerinde İstanbul
Fuar Merkezinde düzenlenecek.
Ekonomiye yön veren sektörlerden
biri olan mobilya sektörünün
yapı taşlarından biri olan yatak
sektörüne ait en önemli buluşma
noktalarından birisi olması beklenen
IBIA EXPO Fuarı için hazırlıklar

on October 6-9.
Preparations for the IBIA EXPO Fair,
which is expected to be one of the
most important meeting points
of the bedding sector, one of the
building blocks of the furniture sector,
one of the sectors that shape
the economy, are continuing at
full speed. Registrations for those
who want to attend the fair as visitors
are still ongoing. IBIA EXPO,
where there will be a wide range
of sub-headings of the bedding
supplier industry and examples
of technology, R&D and innovation,
and where professionals
from all over the world will have
face-to-face business meetings,
focuses on the latest technology
in the bedding supplier industry.

Talking about the development of the
Turkish bedding industry, its share in
exports and the importance of fairs
for the industry, Karamemis made the
following statements in his statement;
“The furniture and especially the bedding
industry is in a growth trend
above the average every year. New
markets, both at home and abroad,
are increasing day by day and existing
ones are expanding. Parallel to
this, our exports are also increasing
positively. In this direction, in parallel
with the increase in capacities in
the mattress industry, it is important
for companies producing mattress
equipment, machinery and industrial
raw materials to develop and grow.
Of course, the most important key
to these developments is of course
international fair organizations. IBIA
EXPO 2022 Fair gains importance in
this respect. In the following processes,
both the economic contribution
of the fair to the companies and the

in the international arena, of course,

40 billion dollar market share of world
bedding production, our country
ranks 14th with 406 million dollars. If
our country, which exports approximately
5 million pieces of bedding per
year, carries this success even higher,

developments, Gökmen said the following

the new features of beddings shaped
by technology. Moreover, the stress

to be an effective power in the global,
bedding brands in our country
need to add new ones to their intangible
values every day. Because the
value of complementary products is
increasing day by day as much as
the final production, and thanks to

the opportunity to develop existing

Finally, Mr. Emre evaluated the importance
of IBIA and the fact that it brings

Can we get your opinions on IBIA

As bedding producers and sub-industrialists,
we have brought our
country to an important position in
world bedding production with great
devotion. But I believe we have a
long way to go to become the world’s
market leader. The fact that machinery
and industrial raw materials for
bedding production are produced in
our country both facilitates the processes
of bedding manufacturers
and reduces imports, making our sector
one of the rare sectors that do
not have a current account deficit. I
think the integrative role of IBIA is very
important here. In a few years, we are
able to make our country much more
influential in the international bedding
sector. The establishment of IBIA was
one of the most important steps on
this path. The IBIA EXPO, which will
be held for the first time this year,
creates the opportunity for our companies
to meet with industry players
from all over the world; I fully believe
that these international players will
record it on their agenda months in
advance and that it will be a qualified
international fair belonging to our
country.

Mebel EXPO Rusya – 2021 Kasım:
Fuarımızın tanıtımlarına Moskova’da
düzenlenen bu mobilya ve mobilya yan
sanayi fuarı ile başladık. Binlerce davetiye
ve broşür dağıttık, sektörle temas
ettik. Afişlerimiz fuarı süsledi.
İstanbul Mobilya Fuarı – 2022 Ocak:
Türk mobilya sektörünün en büyük buluşma
noktası olan bu fuarda broşür,
davetiye dağıtımı yaptık, yatak firmaları
ile bizzat görüşerek fuarımızı takip etmelerini
sağladık.
ISPA EXPO Orlando – Mart 2022: Çok
sayıda Türk üretici firmanın da katılım
sağladığı bu yatak ekipmanları fuarında
her üyemizin standında davetiye ve
broşür dağıtımı gerçekleştirdik. Fuarın
birçok noktasında IBIA EXPO afişleri ile
tanıtım yaptık.
Hometex İstabul – Mayıs 2022: Ev
tekstili sektörünün önemli buluşmasında
gerek kendi standımızda gerekse
üyelerimizin stantlarında fuar davetiyesi
ve broşürü dağıtımı gerçekleştirildi.
Sektör yayınlarının içinde binlerce davetiye
ziyaretçilere ulaştırıldı.
India Mattresstech Expo – Haziran
2022: Kendi tanıtım standımızın olduğu
bir diğer fuar da Mattresstech Expo
oldu. Gerek Hindistan acentemiz, gerek
ekibimiz katılım ve ziyaret için çok
sayıda görüşme yaptı ve Hindistan’a
özel bastığımız davetiye ve broşürleri
ziyaretçiler ile paylaştı.
Sleep Expo Dubai – Haziran 2022:
Stant açarak tanıtım yaptığımız bir diğer
etkinlik de Dubai’de yapılan Sleep Expo
fuarı oldu. Standımız oldukça büyük ilgi

Expo. Both our India agency and our

Sleep Expo Dubai – June 2022: Another
event that we promoted by opening
a booth was the Sleep Expo fair held in
Dubai. Our stand attracted a great deal
of attention, many visitors received invitations
and said that they wanted to

bilgileri verdi : “ Bu yıl fuarımızı
6-9 Ekim’de yapıyoruz. Ancak İstanbul
Fuar Merkezinde sadece
3 salon bulabilmiş ve yer sıkıntısı
yaşamıştık. Gerek 2023 fuarımızın
daha büyük alanda yapılabilmesi,
gerekse aynı tarihte başka fuarların
olmamasını istediğimiz için IFM
ile 8 holün hepsi için anlaşma yaptık.
Gelecek seneki hedefimiz IBIA
EXPO 2023’ü 5-6-7 ve 8. Hollerde
yapmak. Talebe bağlı olarak da
4 ve 2. Holleri de ilave edebiliriz.
Eğer alanın tümüne sahip değilseniz
fuaye alanlarında, reklam
alanları paylaşımında ve logistik
problemler yaşayabilirseniz. Biz
IBIA EXPO’ya öyle güveniyoruz ki
2023 içim IFM fuar alanının tamamını
henüz 2022 fuarını yapmadan
rezerve ettik, sözleşmelerimizi
imzaladık.”
BIFAŞ’ın yanısıra ECR Fuarcılık
şirketinin de sahibi olan Ümit Vural
diğer Tekstil Makinaları fuarlarının
da oldukça güçlü talep gördüğünü,
böyle giderse gelecek yıllarda
bu fuarları da daha büyük alanlara
taşımak zorunda kalacaklarını ifade
etti.

AŞ, who acted swiftly on the fact
that the participation of the fair
was intense before the 2022 fair
and even the inability to respond
to the demands, determined the
dates for 2023, gave the following
information on the subject: “This
year we are holding our fair on
October 6-9. However, we could
only find 3 halls in the Istanbul
Expo Center and we had a shortage
of space. Since we wanted
our 2023 fair to be held in a larger
area and not to have other fairs
on the same date, we made an
agreement with IFM for all 8 halls.
Our goal next year is to hold IBIA
EXPO 2023 in Halls 5-6-7 and 8.
Depending on the demand, we
can also add Halls 4 and 2. If you
do not own the entire area, you
may experience problems in foyer
areas, sharing advertising areas
and logistics. We trust IBIA EXPO
so much that we have reserved
the entire IFM exhibition area for
2023 before the 2022 exhibition,
and signed our contracts.”
Ümit Vural, who is the owner of
ECR Fairs company as well as Bifaş,
stated that other Textile Machinery
fairs also see a very strong
demand, and if they continue like
this, they will have to move these
fairs to larger areas in the coming
years.
