ISSUE
An editor's letter is a message written for a variety
of purposes, from friendly to formal. They can
help the reader understand the content and
creative direction of a certain issue, they can give
the reader and idea of what they can find in the
magazine, or they can explain the issue's theme and
how it can resonate with them.
If you’re thinking of writing an editor's letter
yourself, make your intentions clear from the start.
You can be fun and creative or straightforward,
depending on your needs. For the main content of
your letter, there are often three main parts: the
introduction, main paragraph, and conclusion.
Your letter’s introduction can be a brief greeting, a
few polite statements, or a background of why
you’re writing. The main paragraph is the bulk of
your letter, containing the most important parts of
your message. Finally, the conclusion sums up all
your ideas. It can also include a closing statement
or salutation. No matter what reason you have
behind writing, it’s best to be organized and plan
the contents of your letter before publishing the
magazine.

şartsız millete ait

Cumhuriyet, çağdaş bir
toplum olma yolunda
atılmış en önemli
adımdır.
Cumhuriyet,devlet başkanlığının
seçimle belirlendiği, halkın
temsiliyle şekillenen, temel hak
ve özgürlükleri koruyan,
hukukun üstünlüğünü savunan
ve demokratik yönetim
benimseyen bir yönetim sistemi
ifade eder.
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti 29 Ekim
1923 tarihinde Mustafa Kemal
Atatürk tarafından ilan
edilmiştir. Bu önemli tarihte
Türk milleti, monarşiden
bağımsız bir Cumhuriyet
rejimini benimseyerek,

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun
sona erdiği dönemi tamamladı.
Cumhuriyetin ilanıyla birlikte,
Türkiye'nin resmi adı Türkiye
Cumhuriyeti olarak kabul edildi.
Atatürk, cumhuriyetin
temellerini demokrasi ve laiklik
ilkesi ve değerleri üzerine inşa
etti. Bu tarihi karar, Türkiye'nin
ulusallığının ve bağımsızlığının
güvencesini eline aldı.
Cumhuriyet rejimine giden
yolda ilk adım “Milli
Mücadele” ile birlikte atılmıştır.
Milli Mücadele ile
emperyalizme karşı “Tam
Bağımsızlık” savaşı verilirken
aynı zamanda saraya/sultana
karşı “Milli Egemenlik”
mücadelesi verilmiştir. Mustafa
Kemal Atatürk, 19 Mayıs
1919’da Anadolu’ya geçerken
Millet Egemenliğine dayanan
Tam Bağımsız yeni bir Türk
Devleti kurmayı hedeflemiştir.
Amasya Genelgesi’nde;
“Milletin bağımsızlığını yine
milletin azim ve kararı
kurtaracaktır”(22 Haziran 1919
- Amasya Genelgesi) ilkesi ile
Milli Egemenliğin hayati
önemini ve değeri ortaya
konmuş, Türk Milleti’nin hür ve
bağımsız yaşama kararlılığı
dünyaya ilan edilmiştir.
Bağımsızlık savaşının ve
Cumhuriyetin esaslarının ve
temellerinin atıldığı Sivas
Kongresi’nde; “Ya İstiklal, Ya
Ölüm”(Mustafa Kemal
ATATÜRK – Sivas Konresi)
parolası ile Milli Mücadele
başlatılmıştır. “Milli iradeyi
etkin milli kuvvetleri hâkim
kılmak esastır.” (Mustafa Kemal
ATATÜRK – Erzurum
Kongresi) kararları ile
gelecekteki rejimin Cumhuriyet
olacağı ortaya konulmuştur.

“Ben, milletin vicdanında ve
geleceğinde hissettiğim büyük
gelişme kabiliyetini, bir milli bir
milli sır gibi vicdanımda
taşıyarak yavaş yavaş bütün bir
topluma uygulatmak
mecburiyetinde idim”(Mustafa
Kemal ATATÜRK – NUTUK)
sözü ile “Cumhuriyet” rejimi
hedefine doğru yürünmüştür. 23
Nisan 1920’de Büyük Millet
Meclisi açılması ile “Meclisin
üstünde hiçbir kuvvet yoktur”
ilkesi ile cumhuriyete giden yol
açılmış ve “Milli Egemenlik”
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ülkeyi işgal
eden emperyalistlere karşı
direnişi sürdüren ve Milli
Mücadele’yi yürüten Mustafa
Kemal Atatürk önderliğinde bir
“Meclis hükümeti” kurulmuştur.
20 Ocak 1921 Anayasası’nın
birinci maddesinde; “Egemenlik
kayıtsız şartsız milletindir.”
(Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK –
Anayasanın 5. Maddesi)
Yönetim biçimi halkın
mukadderatını bizzat ve bilfiil
idare etmesi esasına dayanır.
Atatürk, 1 Kasım 1922’de
Saltanatın kaldırılmasında;
”Egemenlik ve Saltanat hiç
kimse tarafından hiç kimseye
ilim icabıdır” diye görüşmeyle
tartışmayla verilmez. Türk
Milletinin hâkimiyeti ve
Saltanatına zorla el
koymuşlardır. Türk Milleti bu
saldırganlara isyan ederek
Hâkimiyet ve Saltanatını fiilen
kendi eline almış bulunuyor.
Cumhuriyet’in ilanından sonraki
süreçte, 18’inci yüzyıl itibarıyla
başlayan
Cumhuriyet, kayıtsız
şartsız ulusal egemenliği
esas alır, özü “laiktir” ve
esası “Ulusal bilince”
dayanmaktadır. Millet,
yönetimi doğrudan
doğruya kendi eline
almıştır. Halk, Milli
Egemenlik ile sarayın
kulu olmaktan kurtulup
Cumhuriyet’in özgür
bireyleri olmuştur.
Batılılaşma hareketlerinin özden
beslenen millî bir çehreye
bürünmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yani
Cumhuriyet Türkiye’sinde
kökleşen, kurumlaşan ve aşağı
yukarı tüm toplum katlarına
mâl olan sanat dalları aslında
imparatorluğun son
dönemlerinde gösterilen
gayretlerin mirasıdır. Tablo
resminden, tiyatro, opera ve
baleye, edebiyata değin kuram
ve kavramlarıyla Batı’dan
aldığımız sanat dallarının
Cumhuriyet Dönemi’ndeki
gelişme çizgilerinin başlangıcı
son dönem Osmanlı sanatı
içinde yer alır (Başkan,
2002:402). Bu dönemin en etkin
ismi şüphesiz Ziya Gökalp’tır.
Türk milliyetçiliğinin önde gelen
ideologlarından biri olan ve
kendi kendini yetiştirmiş bir
aydın olan Ziya Gökalp,
Türkçülüğe geleneksel inanç
sisteminden gelmiş, fakat eski
değerlerini de büsbütün terk
etmeyerek onları Türkçülükle
uzlaştırmaya çalışmıştır.
Türkiye’nin ulus devlet olarak,
millî kültür inşasında Ziya
Gökalp’ın şüphesiz çok etkin bir
yeri vardır. Gazi Mustafa
Kemal Atatürk'ün “Benim
etimin ve kemiğimin babası Ali
Rıza Efendi, heyecanımın babası
Namık Kemal, düşüncelerimin
babası Ziya Gökalp'tır.” (Toker
1979,350) sözü Atatürk Dönemi
kültür politikalarının ideolojik
zeminini yansıtması bakımından
dikkate değerdir. Atatürk
çağının ötesinde bir devlet adamı
olarak yaptığı devrimlerle ve
açtığı kurumlara millet olma
bilincini bizlere aşılamıştır.
Batı’daki maddi yenilikleri alan
ancak kendi millî bilincine sıkı
sıkıya bağlı kuşaklar yetiştirmeyi

Cumhuriyetin ilanı, Türk
milletinin modernleşme ve
ilerleme yolunda önemli bir
adım temsil ederken, ülkenin
gücü şekillendiren bir dönemin
başlangıcını simgeliyor.
Atatürk'ün önderliğinde bu
devrim, Türkiye'yi çağdaş bir
devlet olarak dünya sahnesinde
konumlandırdı. Cumhuriyetin
ilanı, Türkiye'nin demokratik
değerlerle yönetilen bir ulus
devlet olarak yolculuğunun
başlangıcıdır. Bu tarihi olay,
Türk milletinin dönemleri ve
özgürlük mücadelesinin zaferini
kutlamamız için bir fırsat
sunuyor.
