Insulations
Insulations
The insulation is known to be the key factor for the heating capacity of a glove.
There are different insulations characterized by different properties.
Warms up feathery
Down feathers provide excellent heating capacity and hold thermal characteristics. The
storage of heat is very effective. Their soft, light and fluffy nature makes it extremely comfortable.
In addition, the down feathers are protected by a breathable and waterproof “down
proof bag” which ensures no water penetrates and maintains maximum heating capacity.
Reliable protection against cold
R-LOFT , Reusch´s own insulation development, transforms every glove into a reliable
heating source throughout cold seasons. The highly functional insulation keeps the heat
inside the glove and additionally provides maximum comfort due to its very soft nature.
Very thin and powerful
R-LOFT Sport is a very thin insulation mostly used for very sportive gloves. It allows high
performance on the piste without losing grip while keeping the hands comfortably warm.
Low weight, high warmth performance
PrimaLoft ® Kodenshi combines PrimaLoft ® micro fibres and ceramic fibres creating a more
functional insulation. It is even softer and has a higher heat retention. Nano-ceramic particulates
help reflecting the heat back towards the hand to improve the thermal performance.
Warm and highly flexible
Beside the well known warmth properties of the established R-LOFT insulation, R-LOFT
Stretch additionally guarantees free movement without any limitations due to its very stretchable
texture.
Thin, Thinner, Thinsulate
About 30 years ago Thinsulate insulation was introduced as the original “warmth without
bulk” insulation. It is well known all over the world for its thinness. Its ten times smaller
fibres provide a very effective thermal storage at little volume. Even under moist conditions
Thinsulate keeps its insulating and warming characteristics.
Light as a feather and nicely warm
PrimaLoft ® , a patent developed by NASA and with similar thermal qualities as down
feathers, is a polyester-cotton. Soft and remarkably light in weight, PrimaLoft ® ensures
pleasant temperatures at all times. By being water repellent, weather resistant and
breathable, hands stay nice and warm while experiencing maximum comfort.
Comfortably warm on cold days
Being more compact this solid standard insulation offers an adequate amount of warmth,
so that there is nothing getting in the way of a long exciting day on the piste.
