Internal Board Policies - Methods of Operation
Amendment or Suspension of Policies
A. Any policy of the board may be suspended for an agreed upon period of time by a vote of
two-thirds of the members of the board, provided such suspension is permitted by law.
B. No policy of the Board shall be repealed or altered unless a majority of all the members
vote for the repeal or alteration upon motion made in writing for that purpose at a
previous meeting of the Board.
C. The Superintendent of schools, in case of emergency, may suspend any part of these
policies and regulations as it pertains to administration of schools, as permitted by law
and provided, however, that the Superintendent shall report the fact and the reason for
such suspension at the next meeting of the Board of Education and provided further, that
the suspension shall expire at the time of said report unless continued in effect by action
of the Board of Education.
