Article 8 INTERNAL BOARD POLICIES Policy No. <strong>8347</strong><br />
Internal <strong>Board</strong> Policies - Methods <strong>of</strong> Operation<br />
<strong>Teacher</strong>-<strong>Administrator</strong>-<strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Relationshi</strong>ps<br />
Since it is recognized that providing a high quality education for children is the paramount aim<br />
<strong>of</strong> the School District <strong>of</strong> Omaha and that good morale in the teaching staff is necessary for the<br />
best education <strong>of</strong> children:<br />
A. The <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong>, under law, has the final responsibility <strong>of</strong> establishing<br />
policies for the district and <strong>Education</strong>al Service Unit 19. The policies for<br />
<strong>Education</strong>al Service Unit 19 shall be the same as those <strong>of</strong> the district, expect to<br />
the extent the law provides otherwise.<br />
B. The Superintendent and Superintendent's staff have the responsibility <strong>of</strong> carrying<br />
out the policies established.<br />
C. The pr<strong>of</strong>essional teaching personnel have the ultimate responsibility <strong>of</strong> providing<br />
the best possible education in the classroom.<br />
