Background<br />
• It is difficult to define ‘small store sector’<br />
• With symbol groups there is significant<br />
discrepancies with retailers under the same fascia<br />
• Pricing on a very small number of SKUs makes it<br />
difficult to compare retailers’ pricing strategies<br />
• The stores checked ranged from 360 to 14,000<br />
sq/ft and 63 SKUs to 3 – accurate comparisons are<br />
difficult to make
