4 Feedback from meeting Altrincham Forward and their
progress with a BID
Neighbourhood Plan already in place/work in parallel with
BID. Has helped move BID forward/engagement in place.
6 months ahead of Stockport Council.
57 days consultant time bought in to support
development of BID.
Levy to be 1.5% estimate to raise £300k per annum.
RV Threshold TBC: either £5k or £7k.
Overheads estimated at 20%.
Costs covered by BID Loan fund.
5 Widening the scope of involved participants
Town Centre Major Stores Group, Key Stakeholders &
Levy Payers.
Positive Contributors to Town Centre & activity organisers
Database to be produced with levy payers and feedback. MH
6 Input from Stockport Council
Rating information: Now provided. (NB prior to ballot up
to date data will be used). To be worked up into a user
friendly format to work with and gain statistics from.
Officer support: Recent restructure and reduction in
Council Place Directorate. New ‘Growth’ section. Officer
support TBC. Request made to Stockport Council
requiring clarification of Growth role in Town Centre.
Baseline information: Arrangements for collection
underway. On-going.

7 Formalising BID agreement with Stockport Council
Bid Funding: Council may offer funds. TBC subject to
Executive meeting on 21 st July.
Levy Collection: Council is required to collect. Cost will be
passed onto the BID Company.
Baseline Services Agreement (see above)
8 On-going BID communication strategy with media, social
networking and timeline for key milestone events during the
process
More active promotion of BID commences. Press release
now approved and circulated to Vision Stockport
members.
Website being updated regularly.
Revised timeline to be prepared (HW/JT).
Draft flyers prepared:
- One for BID levy payers (businesses)
- One for ‘visitors’ - in progress
Council comms team being kept updated.

9 Business plan and spreadsheet for the BID
TJ presented BID survey.
Feedback from questionnaire obtained during the
meeting :
‣ Restructure the order of sections, so Community first
then Business last.
‣ Enhance car parking questions and offer solutions so
they can be "scored".
‣ Ask whether enquirers or individuals completing the
questionnaire are business, visitors or retailers in the
Town.
‣ Circulate the questionnaire to attendees of the BID
meeting for feedback and further enhancement.
10 BID co-ordination office and communications centre for
activities and initiatives
TJ & GV to discuss requirements/GV to provide brief
issues paper
11 Database Management of proposed levy payers' responses
and queries during the process to build a picture of how the
BID is being formulated and changing along the way

VS responses: extremely positive response. 1/2 of
attendees at launch wish to offer support. These are
being followed up.
JB described discussions he is having with Council on
potential future proposals in Old Town area.
