Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Christchurch
Kia ora! Welcome to Christchurch. A Kirra Holidays
representative will meet you at the airport and transfer
you to your hotel.
Stay: Elms Hotel
Day 2 Arthurs Pass, Fox Glacier (B)
Journey through the spectacular Southern Alps on this
coast to coast drive, crossing the Otira Gorge and Arthurs
Pass before arriving on the West Coast. Home to towering
rainforests, mountains and glaciers, tranquil lakes and
rushing rivers, the region is steeped in history dating back to
the gold rush era of the 1860’s

Day 3 Haast Pass, Wanaka (B)
There is the opportunity to experience optional scenic flights
over this remarkable region this morning (subject to weather
conditions). View incredible scenery as you travel past the
untouched native forests and pristine lakes of the Westland
National Park and Haast Pass before arriving at the popular
lakeside resort of Wanaka.

Day 4 Arrowtown, Queenstown (B,D)
This morning is at leisure and, if the weather is good, we
recommend you take a cruise on the lake or enjoy a lakeside
walk. In the afternoon, we travel to Arrowtown, set beneath
the rugged Crown range. Take time to wander through this
historic village with its fascinating collection of miner cottages
with an atmosphere straight out of last century. A short
drive brings us to the beautiful lakeside and alpine resort
town of Queenstown, regarded as New Zealand’s premier
holiday destination. Dinner tonight is at the spectacular
Skyline Stratosfare Restaurant with its breathtaking views of
Queenstown and The Remarkables mountain range.

Day 5 At leisure in Queenstown (B)
Today is a free day to experience this magnificent resort.
Queenstown boasts an incredible array of adventure and
leisure activities and your Coach Captain can assist with
any optional activities you would like to do. Take a ride on
the world famous Shotover Jet Boat, take a tour to the gold
mining area of Skippers Canyon or for the more adventurous,
try white water rafting. Alternatively, browse in the many
shops and galleries. Tonight, take the opportunity to discover
the many restaurants and bars Queenstown is famous for.
Day 6 Milford Sound, Te Anau (B)
Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and through
rolling countryside to Te Anau. Then follow the Eglinton and
Hollyford Valleys before descending into the Cleddau Canyon.
Drive through the Homer Tunnel into spectacular Milford
Sound, the world renowned natural wonder dominated by
Mitre Peak. Cruise the entire length of the fiord and enjoy the
on-board commentary that gives you detailed information of
the region’s history, flora and fauna as you view spectacular
waterfalls, towering mountains and wildlife. Return to Te Anau
for our overnight stay.
