Beginners Trail Running Guide
So you’re a runner, you can run at least 5k. Maybe you’re a
seasoned runner, or perhaps you’ve only just got into running.
Has the boredom of road running set in? Do you need
a new challenge? Are you searching for something different
that will take you away from the roads and into the peace of
the local countryside? Then this is the course for you.
The transition from road to trail running can be a scary one,
but with the right kit, a controlled transition, and some minor
adjustments to your running style there are only positives to
gain and a whole new world of adventure to start
Starting line
First book yourself into a race! The 5k Park run’s (information
included in your starter pack) are great if
you want a fun environment. The one in Bracknell is
pretty much a trail route, with half the race route weaving
through woods. People to run with and not race against,
and want a recorded time and they are FREE to take part in.
