This assignment assesses your ability to draw conclusions about the differences between monolithic and<br />
personalized learning models, determine the consequences and implications of personalized learning and to<br />
develop recommendations for designing a personalized learning environment. This assignment also assesses<br />
your ability to evaluate instructional design projects, analyze the principles of instruction, apply theories of<br />
motivation and performance to instructional design, and analyze emerging instructional design technologies.<br />
Before completing this assignment, review the “Grading Rubric” and the Week Five “Instructor Guidance” page.<br />
Instructions: Submit a document that is three-to-four pages, not including the title and references pages,<br />
addressing each item in the list below with support from the Reiser and Dempsey (2012) textbook,<br />
the American Institutes for Research (2013), Ashmana, et al (2014), and Bill and Melinda Gates<br />
Foundation (2014) articles, and at least one other scholarly source. If you have questions about the<br />
expectations for drawing conclusions and determining consequences and implications, constructing and<br />
presenting recommendations, written communication, and APA formatting in the “Grading Rubric,” please post<br />
your questions in the “Ask Your Instructor” Discussion before the due date.<br />
1. Draw conclusions about the differences between monolithic and personalized learning models. Ensure<br />
your conclusions consider assumptions, data, evidence, and contexts related to personalized learning.<br />
2. Determine the consequences and implications of personalized learning. Ensure your determinations<br />
consider assumptions, data, evidence, and contexts related to personalized learning.<br />
3. Develop at least three recommendations for designing personalized learning environments. Ensure<br />
your recommendations are constructed in a convincing, logically supported fashion and justified with<br />
evidence from credible (i.e., scholarly) sources.<br />
You are also encouraged to share your assignment with peers using the “Doc Sharing” tool and to review what<br />
peers share there as well. Though using the “Doc Sharing” tool is not associated with your grade, it is<br />
encouraged as a way to review a variety of conclusions and recommendations and promote the giving and<br />
