I feel that my perspective, the<br />
unique way I witness this world,<br />
is the greatest gift I’m given.<br />
But I only realized that gift once<br />
I became aware of the fact my<br />
perspective is one of many, and<br />
everyone else’s has just as much<br />
value. I strive to show the messy<br />
and sometimes complex, dark<br />
beauty in the world because<br />
that’s how I see it. It’s not like<br />
the stories we read when we<br />
are kids; it’s not clear-cut and<br />
clean. Beauty comes from a more<br />
complicated, less friendly place<br />
to get where it is. Be it through<br />
dance, photography or music,<br />
I constantly find myself more<br />
enamored with the beauty I find<br />
in art and the artists who create.<br />
