What a great year 2018 has been! We have had some fantastic
success in sporting, cultural and academic arenas. These successes
would not happen without our hardworking staff who strive to provide
the very best opportunities for our children.
We have also been very fortunate to have had fantastic support from
our parent body. This year we held our biggest Fun Run ever and
made a profit of over $40,000. This money has allowed us to build a
new extension to our playground which everyone can enjoy. A very big
thank you to the group of parents who spent many hours planning and
organising this event . It was a fantastic success and has provided a
playground that many children will enjoy for years to come.
We also hosted our very first Kapa Haka festival with Ngā Pōtiki which
was a resounding success. We were very proud of our roopu and
would like to thank whānau who helped make this happen.
Thank you to our Golden Sands learners, for continuing to strive to be
the very best you can be. Congratulations for taking challenges, for
problem solving and risk taking and for having a growth mindset.
These things will serve you well in the future. I am PROUD of you all.
Have a great Christmas everyone and I look forward to seeing you all
back in 2019.
