Idylleve is an international dance performer, teacher, choreographer.Her dance studies include
oryantal dance a.k.a belly dance, contemporary dance, classical ballet, Turkish & Arabic
folk dances and fire manipulation. She studied English linguistics at Stockholm University,
Turkish and Turkic Languages at Uppsala University. In addition to her linguistics major and
dance studies, she received Clinical Dance and Movement Therapy education under Dr. Marcia
Leventhal and Dr. Ilene Serlin from International Institute for Advanced Practice in Dance
Movement Therapy. She carried out a part of her internship with young adults with Down
Syndrome. She wants to continue her work with Rock and Metal musicians in areas such as
depression, artist’s block, and social stigma.She is a dual citizen of Sweden and Turkey, has
lived in Stockholm, Paris, Athens and in Istanbul. She has performed as an oriental dancer at
the historical Galata Tower of Istanbul.
With the influence of the Dance and Movement Therapy education she received, she blended
various aspects of her profession and her personality, and created her own unique style and
focused her attention more on fire dances. Her career highlights include international collaborations
ranging from traditional to unconventional such as appearing as a Turkish oriental
dancer on Japanese TV, performing live with Portuguese Metal gurus Moonspell, featuring
with Shahram Shabpareh and Afshin From Iran, Ozan Doğulu Bahadır Tatlıöz, Gülden Mutlu,
Asena, Tanyeli from Turkey, and forming an interdisciplinary creative movement practice
based on her training in Clinical Dance and Movement Therapy and fire as a transformative
element. She performs regularly and teaches fire/dance, interdisciplinary creative movement,
and languages.
