AOA Spring Wildflower Photo Contest
Attend an AOA spring wildflower event, take images and
enter our photo contest from April 1 to May 31, 2019
Rules and entry details will be provided closer to the contest date. Free to enter. All entries must be from an AOA site.
AOA is dedicated to the conservation and stewardship
of our land and water as sustainable natural
resources that are an asset and a legacy for our
community.
Prizes are being donated by REI, NANPA, Kelbyone and Midwest Photo
Jim worked for the Ohio
Department of Natural
Resources for 31 years as a
botanist, and later specializing
in wildlife diversity projects,
especially involving birds. He
has authored or coauthored
six books He has written
numerous articles in a
variety of publications, and
Jim McCormac has delivered hundreds of
presentations throughout the
eastern United States. He was named 2015 Conservation
Communicator of the Year by the Ohio League of
Sportsmen. Jim is an avid photographer, shooting a range
of natural history subjects. He has had hundreds of photos
published in various forums.
Meet the Judges
Robert Henn is a biologist,
naturalist, teacher, and a
native and lifelong resident
of Ohio. He taught Biology
for 36 years in Dayton
Public Schools and Sinclair
Community College. He is
retired as the Curator of the
Herbarium at the Aullwood
Audubon Center and Farm
Robert Henn in Dayton. Henn is the
author of the popular field guide Wildflowers of Ohio;
Indiana University Press; Bloomington, IN. 2nd Ed.
2008. He and his wife live in Lebanon.
