The Turkish Hospital Pediatric Department,<br />
brand-new facility that was made<br />
specifically with children in mind. Designed<br />
with ideas from all angles, our hospital caters<br />
to our patients’ needs and desires at every<br />
point. Within our walls we have created<br />
a very special place, one dedicated entirely to<br />
health, wellness and healing as well giving full<br />
support to both the children and the parents.<br />
One of the cornerstones of our pediatric<br />
program is an emphasis on preventative<br />
health and wellness. Our team is focused<br />
on providing you and your child with<br />
the education, support and services you need<br />
most to overcome any insecurity experienced<br />
by a child during treatment and follow-up.<br />

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)<br />
This is a comprehensive unit under the<br />
charge of well-trained up-to-date accredited doctors<br />
who are experts in neonatal intensive care<br />
management. It is equipped with the most up-todate<br />
equipment and facilities needed for the care of<br />
sick and high-risk newborns. It includes the intensive<br />
care needed for babies diagnosed as preterm<br />
and complications like pneumonia, meconium<br />
aspiration, sepsis, convulsion, birth asphyxia etc.<br />

Nursery (Well baby)<br />
Our Nursery is baby friendly and provides<br />
the best services for healthy babies, including<br />
newborn care, nutrition, eye and umbilical<br />
care, and follows the Hospital’s infection control<br />
policy. Breastfeeding is recommended and<br />
encouraged at our Hospital, we provide mothers<br />
the support they need and the expertise of a<br />
well-equipped modern and baby friendly clinic.<br />
We provide a soothing and comfortable environment<br />
both to mothers and neonates. Newborn<br />
vaccinations, assessment of prenatal growth and<br />
development, and screened for any vision or<br />
hearing problems in addition to the provision of<br />
age-appropriate preventive guidance regarding<br />
nutrition, lifestyle and health maintenance issues.<br />
Metabolic screening is done to all our neonates.<br />

Our well-equipped modern and child friendly<br />
clinic renders comfortable environment for<br />
treatment and follow-up of variety of acute and<br />
chronic illnesses of infancy, childhood and adolescence.<br />
Children are given vaccinations, assessed<br />
for their growth and development, and<br />
screened for any vision or hearing problems in<br />
addition to the provision of age-appropriate preventive<br />
guidance regarding nutrition, lifestyle and<br />

Inpatient Ward<br />
Our friendly ward has beds for admitted<br />
hospital patients who are supervised by the consultants<br />
in-charge. Our doctors and specialists, as<br />
well as all our entire medical team, have some of<br />
the most advanced tools, technologies and therapies<br />
at their disposal, all designed to give your<br />
child the very best outcome possible. We provide<br />
care and manage a wide variety of medical problems<br />
including, and not limited to, acute gastroenteritis,<br />
croup, bronchiolitis, pneumonia septicemia,<br />
bronchial asthma, seizure disorder, etc.<br />
Pediatric Emergency<br />
This ER is covered 24 hours, 7 days a<br />
week by accredited specialists who have experience<br />
in the management of emergencies. It is well<br />
equipped for both serious injuries and minor illnesses<br />
in order to cope with the needs of pediatric<br />
patients. Furthermore, the pediatric emergency<br />
is staffed with specialized pediatric medical team<br />
throughout.<br />

Kilitbahir Kalesi, Canakkale<br />
Kilitbahir Castle is a fortress on the west<br />
side of the Dardanelles, opposite the city of Çanakkale,<br />
where there is a corresponding fortress<br />
(Kale-i Sultaniye), from which Çanakkale takes<br />
its name. The two castles were constructed by Fatih<br />
Sultan Mehmet in 1463 to control the straits at<br />
their narrowest point. Kilitbahir’s name, meaning<br />
“lock of the sea”, reflects this defensive purpose.<br />

CARDIOLOGY<br />
The department of cardiology at<br />
Turkish Hospital is a center providing the<br />
highest quality cardiovascular care with its<br />
up-to-date medical equipment. The department<br />
includes two cardiologists and sufficient<br />
number of staff numbers at the moment.<br />
Inpatient services include a four-bed intensive<br />
care unit (ICU) and inpatient care unit. Services<br />
include cardiac catheterization, primary angioplasty,<br />
echocardiography, stress testing, blood<br />
pressure monitoring, 24-hr rhythm Holter monitoring.<br />

by our department can be found in our website.<br />
The department offers outpatient consultation<br />
and evaluation for new patients in the<br />
ground floor with two outpatient rooms. Outpatient<br />
services include general cardiology clinics<br />
dedicated to diagnose and treat most of the cardiac<br />
diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia,<br />
aortic diseases, heart failure, coronary artery disease,<br />
valvular heart disease, pericardial disease,<br />
rhythm abnormalities and cardiomyopathies.<br />

What is a gastric balloon?<br />
The gastric balloon is a soft, silicone sack that is<br />
placed into the stomach and filled with air and<br />
sterile water.<br />
The gastric balloon can:<br />
• Help you control and limit how much food you<br />
eat<br />
• Reduce the frequency of how often you eat<br />
The overall quantity of food will be less and you<br />
will stay satisfied for longer. This is helpful for<br />
those with a tendency to snack between meals.<br />
How much weight will I lose?<br />
You can experience up to 20-25 kilos of weight<br />
loss, though some people lose less. Your success<br />
depends on whether you make the necessary dietary<br />

Bosphorus is a narrow, natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in<br />
northwestern Turkey. It forms part of the continental boundary between Europe and Asia, and separates<br />

HAIR TRANSPLANTATION<br />
Hair transplantation is an operation of<br />
extracting graft (3-4 hairs in one extracting) from<br />
the donor area ( hairs between two ears) where<br />
hair loss does not occur genetically, and placing<br />
them to the recipient area (Where baldness has<br />
on the head) . Grafts which were placed to recipinent<br />
area protect their genes as in the Donor<br />
area. By using the same methods, hair transplantations<br />
can be made on eyebrow, eyelash, beard,<br />
and mustache and scar. The operation can take 6<br />
-7 hours depending on the area where hair transplantation<br />
will be carried out.<br />
All the operations are performed under<br />
local anesthesia, and you can go home soon after<br />
the operation such made. This is not any method<br />
or operation causing any pain. Any cutting or suturing<br />

The travertine is a slip formed by a multifaceted<br />
chemical reaction and subsequent precipitation<br />
of various causes and environments. The<br />
geological events that led to the thermal source<br />
of Pamukkale affected a large area. In this region,<br />
there are 17 hot water areas with temperatures<br />
ranging from 35-100 degrees Celsius. Pamukkale<br />

NICU<br />
The Neonatal intensive Care Unit (NICU)<br />
is an 5 bedded unit and provides 24 hours service<br />
The unit is staffed with nurse to patient<br />
ratio of 1:1-2. Many other disciplines are involved<br />
in the care of the sick neonate including but not<br />
limited to medical staff, respiratory therapy, pharmacy<br />
Radiology, and social worker, patient educator<br />
for mothers, Infection Control and physical<br />
therapy.<br />
وحدة العناية املركزة لحديثي الوالدة هي وحدة مكونة من<br />
خمسة أرسة وتوفر الخدمة 24 ساعة<br />
الوحدة مزودة بالتمريض بنسبة ممرض لكل رسير او رسيرين.<br />
العديد من التخصصات تشارك يف رعاية املولود املريض وليس<br />
فقط الطواقم الطبية، العالجى التنفيس، الصيدلة، االشعة و<br />
االخصائيني االجتامعيني، املعلمني لالم هات، مكافحة العدوى<br />
والعالج الطبيعي.<br />

The NICU provides a Family-centered<br />
approach to care; encompassing the parents and<br />
sick infant as a single unit. Thus including the<br />
family in all decision making and kept well informed<br />
and have complete understanding of all<br />
patient care activities/procedures.<br />
The NICU services provide the best technological<br />
evidenced – based treatment and care.<br />
Examples are: ventilator support inclusive of<br />
high frequency oscillatory and sensor medics<br />
ventilation,Continuous Positive Airway Pressure<br />
(CPAP), the unit also provides continuous hemodynamic<br />
monitoring, pulse oximetry, continuous<br />
cardiac monitoring, blood exchange transfusion,<br />
administration of medications and Total Parenteral<br />
Nutrition, high intensity phototherapy, and<br />
Metabolic screening.<br />

خدمات الطوارئ EMERGENCY SERVICES<br />
Emergency Service Department of<br />
TURKISH HOSPITAL is in service 7/24 with<br />
experienced, educated and expert staff. Emergency<br />
medicine physician makes the triage of<br />
the patients according to their emergency status<br />
and guide them to the related specialist.<br />
Emergency service is supported by all<br />
branches present at the hospital in day-time,<br />
is also supported at night by the anesthesia,<br />
cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, obstetrics<br />
and gynecology, pediatrics and radiology specialists<br />
in charge at their own departments. In<br />
emergency service department which serves<br />
in multidisciplinary approach other specialist<br />
physicians reaches in case of necessity.<br />
At emergency service and observation<br />
rooms which are equipped with modern medical<br />
devices, first line treatment and observation<br />
of patients are performed. Additionally,<br />
first line interventions and evaluations may be<br />
performed at intervention rooms and other<br />
technically equipped rooms without time loss.<br />
At TURKISH HOSPITAL all imaging<br />
analysis including magnetic resonance, computerized<br />
tomography, ultrasonography with the support<br />
of radiology specialists as well as all laboratory<br />
assessments are performed at 24 hours basis.<br />

يف املستشفى يف وقت النهار ، ويتم الدعم ليال من قبل التخدير<br />
وأمراض القلب وجراحة القلب واالوعية الدموية والتوليد<br />
وامراض النساء واخصائئني طب االطفال واالشعة املناوبيني يف<br />
اقسامهم. يعمل قسم طب الطوارئ بنهج متعدد<br />
التخصصات حسب احتياج الحالة.<br />
يف قسم الطوارئ وغرف املالحظة التي تم تجهيزها باحدث<br />
املعدات الطبية يتم تنفيذ العالج املبدأي ومالحظة املريض.<br />
وباالضافة اىل ذلك ميكن اجراء التقييامت والتدخالت يف الغرف<br />
املجهزة فنيا بذلك.<br />
