ZAŠTO BAKAR?
Na samom početku proizvodnje alkoholnih
pića, korišćeni su različiti metali za pravljenje
destilacionih uređaja (bakar, gvožđe, kalaj,
aluminijum, legura-nerđajući čelik itd.), ali
bakar se pokazao kao daleko najbolji metal
koji je u upotrebi hiljadama godina upravo
zbog:
1. prednosti fizičkog dizajna
2. otpornosti na koroziju
3. katalitičke uloge u kvalitetu
dobijenog destilata
4. odlične provodljivosti toplote
Destilati dobijeni iz aparata izrađenih od
stakla, nerđajućeg čelika ili drugih metala
imaju loše organoleptičke karakteristike
(gorko, prazan, metalni i/ili suv miris i ukus).
Estri viših kiselina koje se vezuju za bakar
proizvode veoma prijatnu aromu koja povećava
kvalitet finalnog destilata.
Pored otpornosti na organske kiseline, posle
srebra - bakar je najbolji termički provodnik i
ima veoma pozitivan efekat na ukus i miris
destilata, to radi bolje od bilo kog drugog
metala, dakle sam destilat proizveden u
bakrim kazanima ima lepši miris i ukus i

Stroma is an island off Caithness. It used to be home for fishermen, crofters and, you guessed it, the pilots.
Slowly people left the island and in 1997, the remaining residents (the lighthouse keepers and their family)
moved out too, leaving it uninhabited… The island is now owned by a family who use it to graze sheep - very
lucky sheep we’d say! Sandy Stroma is as unique as the spirits it produces. In the Scotland Highlands, this
copper still called Stroma is doing her magic now. Her new owners at North Point Distillery are excited to do the
experiments and make a high-quality rum, gin, and brandy with this whiskey helmet, brandy, and rum column, as
well as a botanical gin basket.
