OVERVIEW<br />

<strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Tec</strong> Model 1005, 1005S, 1006, and 1007<br />

ignition systems can be used with dual spark plug head<br />

applications. You can use two dual tower type coils or<br />

a single four tower coil such as the Dyna DC6-4.<br />

For maximum ignition energy, we recommend<br />

using two dual tower coils. Tests have shown that the<br />

Accel Super Coil P/N 140407 has the best output<br />

characteristics for a dual plug application. Use the<br />

hookup shown in Figures 1 or 2 depending on your<br />

ignition module. Use a .032” spark plug gap with the<br />

Accel coil.<br />

The Dyna DC6-4 can be wired according to the<br />

Dyna instructions except that the pink and blue wires<br />

must be swapped since Dyna uses the opposite color<br />

code convention for front and rear cylinders. Use a<br />

.025” spark plug gap with the Dyna DC6-4 coil.<br />
