I met Connor again not
long after that. My uncle was
visiting and I had gone for a drink
with him, Connor came into the bar with
Isla - I know her as her best friend is my
best friend’s sister. She made a beeline
for us because my uncle is very
handsome! She was so interested in
talking to him that Connor and
I got talking ourselves....I asked
him to come to the tennis
with me.....
Connor never came to the
tennis that week and I felt really
stupid and low.....
But all was not lost, you can imagine my
shock when he appeared a
week later. I started to realise it was
difficult for him to sneak out the
flat without Isla subjecting
him to the Spanish inquisition!
