Solid Waste Management
Ever heard the saying ‘Knowledge comes from experience”? Lynn Malley
can attest to it. She points to one of her early trips as a leader, a
Hurricane Katrina recovery project in New Orleans. The home-building
project she had planned fell through, and the group was forced to change
directions. For two days, they replaced incandescent light bulbs with
energy efficient ones for the nonprofit Green Light New Orleans. Doing
this helped all of them understand the value these people placed on their
service in ways that simply reading about it could never have.
When Lynn is not working on recycling issues around the state of OK for
OSU, she likes to work on conservation issues for other groups as well.
